Hero Combo Attack / Advanced Combo Attack

    Hi all,

    Not sure if this is a known bug or not but the skill description for Combo Attack and Advanced Combo attack suggests that the total damage amplification should be 220% and 250% respectively.

    In game, the actual amplification is only 140% and 190% respectively.

    @ ACA being 190%, heroes are at the bottom tier when it comes to single target DPM, which doesn't make a lot of sense given their lack of utility.

    The description is very misleading but yeah its 190% damage boost. Heros are better than you give them credit for:
    >Their single DPS is pretty good (you can't beat NL but yeah no one can, not even Corsair that is on paper better) Is one of the jobs that benefit a lot from SE without having another skill that gives you crits, also they can use SI
    > They are one of the tankiest job in the game, and the easiest to wash so getting cap HP as them is easy
    > Best cleavers in the game as far as I know, cleave is why CWPQ and HT are done so fast, as well as Zakum arms.
    > As your spot in your team you got rage to save your team some ciders, also being a very well balanced class makes you very independent, so you will perform well on any situation as hero

    DPM tiers aside since that seems to be a touchy subject for many of the people I talked to about this - can you shed some light on why or how combo was coded this way?

    Perhaps a skill description fix is in order - since 250% is clearly incorrect.



    I uh... I don't think that's how the math works.

    The 190% amplification is a multiplicative boost, not an addition to your base range.

    Since you're quoting ayumilove's blog, here is the complete quote for her interpretation of combo calculation:

    "Combo Attack (credit to RFSurg):
    Combo Multiplier, 1-5 orbs = [Advanced] Combo Attack % + floor((orbs - 1) * (Combo level / 6)%)
    Combo Multiplier, 6-10 orbs = [Advanced] Combo Attack % + 20% + (orbs - 5) * 4%
    Finishers = Skill Description % * Combo Multiplier * Orb multiplier
    The orb multipliers are:
    1 orb = 100%
    2 orbs = 120%
    3 orbs = 154%
    4 orbs = 200%
    5 - 10 orbs = 250%
    "
