'Holy Shield' is NOT needed in PB

hello guys some time ago I made a suggestion about making bishop mains 'alright' in Pink Bean, what I wanna share today is something very related but I feel like it merits it's own thread because it's too important to leave it as a side note.

As the title says, turns out that the supportive ability 'Holy Shield' isn't really needed in PB because all the seduces can be avoided with chairs. This discovery and strategy is meta changing and makes bishops 'Holy Shield' irrelevant and therefore100% resurrection mules.

If you don't get it, let me explain you briefly what's going on:
- during statues phase 4 and 5 squads have to deal with Munin also known as the right bird
- Munin seduces the first 10 or 15 people that enter the map
- The seduces can be walk left or right or jump left or right
- Munin needs to be isolated to deal with it
- seduces can be catastrophic and end runs

This is usually the hardest stage in pink bean and there's multiple strategies to clear it, from the biggest groups (30 mans) to the smallest (15~18man) Bishops 'Holy Shield' has always been required because the seduces are too dangerous.

Let me describe you two strategies to deal with right bird:
Pasta-1 squad used to bring 9 bishop mules to have permanent shield on attackers.
Pasta-2 squad brings 6 bishops mules and makes use of 'Time Leap' to keep the shields up.

The biggest shift happened today when Joseph (NightmareHS) told us about the chair strat.
"what if I told you holy shield isn't needed and we can just sit 15 characters in the corner" and that's what we did, IT WORKS.

What does this mean for our squad? We no longer need 9 bishop mule slots, therefore we can have the luxury of using at least 4 of those slots to bring more archmages or other kind of support mules like buccs or smoke. This is a significant buff.

What does this mean for bishop? kekw
Bishop in PB = 100% ress mule, you can bring a mule with holy shield level 0 if your squad adapts to this strat.

 

Yes sitting in a chair to avoid seduces isn't a novelty, it's been used in Horntail for years, however it's application in pink bean is.
You see squads can't just tell everyone to sit, there's more into it. To make this strategy work a squad needs to know which chars will get seduced, which chars will get banished and also protect the chair bros from mini-beans touch. This requires planning entrance order and defense, plus this has to be done while taking down Munin.
The thread is mostly about the balance implications since this strategy makes bishops in PB even more lackluster while also enabling stronger squads to become even stronger due to having more dps slots available (trading the multiclient bishop slots for multiclienting more damage dealers).
