Horntail Re: Queue

Hi Hi,

I've been contemplating on how to word this thread. But as the title says, I think a nice quality of life change would be to have the ability to "re-enter" or "re-queue" into Horntail when you Disconnect.

Now I automatically know where the conversation would go, "what about abusing this feature to save pots?" or just plainly abusing this feature for cheeky exp. That I don't have a solution for; however, I think it would be nice to have an ability to re-enter Horntail when you disconnect, but only ONCE per run. Kind of Similar to how you can re-enter in when you disconnect from pre-head one but only on your first run.

I've been thinking about how this could be executed and the idea of a ticket comes to mind, like for example, how we get the APQ ticket, but this ticket is only awarded to the ones that DC inside of body phase. This ticket could also have an expiration of 20 or 30 minutes, and its a unique item so no stacking and trying to DC in Run 2 twice, for double tickets.

I know the idea is to keep things nostalgic and original to the game we love, but lets be honest, pouring 45 minutes into a boss to randomly get disconnected is exhausting and discourages players from even attempting to boss anymore because "what the point I will DC".

 

well i didn't mean that as in, D/C'ing is for nostalgia, but more as not creating a re-connecting feature as nostalgia. There is another server that has a re-connect feature to HT, but maybe here, they can make it better
