Is hp washing must as a dk?

I wish players in forum don't troll newcomers with meme answers when they are asking serious questions, having no knowledge for enjoying memes. We can troll each others because we know it's trolling, but they aren't.

In current, warrior classes can hit 28k HP clean with challenge system in maxed tier, and considering Drk have HB + Hp cap is 30k even with HB, warriors are almost free from washing struggles. It's not big difference between 28k and 30k, and you can still earn 1250 HP with rings from monster books, and ellin forest part 2 questline, upon clean HP. so, for drk, unless you want to have '30k clean' earlier than challenge system provides, you can forget about washing, for HP.

Considering current status of DrK in endgame contents, DrK isn't that in 'good status' compared with other classes, due to penalty of zerking. It is quite good till ~HT but become terrible in auf / PB. Still coverable with player skills using active zerk, but it's still high risk low return. So, considering how pally is quite meta class (thanks for NT), he said so.
Doesn't mean you'll be gated by HP itself. HP itself is fine because DrK is easy to hit 30k. issue is, your dpm will be very subpar unless you play with actual 15k max HP thanks for zerk, and that's where all the problem comes.

 

Washing is quite easy as a Dark Knight if you want to do it. You do not have to actually, and you may even hit 30K HP (which is the max) with Hyper Body with the level 150 HP Challenges with some HP Equips if you don't want to. However, with some INT investment you can still wash yourself to 30K HP with less effort than other classes and quite frankly I would recommend it but you won't mess up if you do not do it.

That being said, the person saying play Page class said it without any elaboration and I think it ruins his message and I'm not sure if it was in a good spirit. Also you are free to play whatever class you want without people telling you what to do, not because something is meta. Recently there is a large spike of Paladin players because certain higher levelled people are telling others all the other warriors suck and Paladin is the only legitimate option for warrior (around + 11% growth of this class which I find disgustingly high) and everyone else follows what they say just because they're higher and more experienced, but do you want to play the class because it is meta or because of what you find fun?

I will state though currently a lot of DK players are unsatisfied with their own endgame performance, their playstyle with Berserk is difficult at higher levels (where lower HP gives you higher damage but some bosses do more damage than certain HP thresholds), but it takes a long while to get there, and you may still enjoy the game and its journey throughout. This is why a lot of people are sour about it and joke about it or make passive aggressive bitter remarks, and the only class guide that isn't a joke about DK in this forums is just a big long rant as to why not to make one. Does it mean to not play it? I would not say so. I also happen to know people who would greatly appreciate Hyper Body and God knows we need more DK friends around. They also have some of the coolest skills as a Dragon Knight while the other two warriors still need to play with Power Strike and Slash Blast. That's not to mention it takes Paladin around 160s-170s to be fully functional with skills while DK have their necessary skills maxed out much earlier. I would personally find the server healthy if DK remain the most popular warrior class and one of the most popular classes overall, but that's just my own opinion, and I speak as an older paladin player.

 

by the mechanics of berserk drk is one of the classes that it is important to get 30k as quickly as possible in the 4th job, you can wash until you get 30k with HB and then do the challenges at late lv for when you are Take dispel not to lose dpm

 

You can survive without it but for zerking purposes you should HP wash. However, its super duper easy with warriors, so don't sweat it.

 

Sure high level characters are known for embellishment. But when it takes years to get drip fed even an experimental change with the nebulous and likely broken promise of "we're keeping an eye on things", players can't help but get cynical. The fact of the matter is DK is NOT in a healthy place, and a non-trivial amount of the playerbase is even split on if they're being tuned in the right direction.

If only playing to and through HT, you'll be fine to play dk. If obscenely hard-headed and willing to ride-or-die dk (literally), you'll be fine to play dk. If you wish to go farther tho and dont want to remake a character, highly consider Paladin (or anything else) instead. The scary "high levels" may meme a lot, but they are the ones with much more experience in how the game operates. There may well be a reason for the memes.

Anyways, this is a thread about dk and challenges vs wash. Do whichever suits you, the only noticeable differences will be needing to keep hb on yourself at all times, and losing a bit of max hp on dispel and death. None are huge issues, though the saying is to just wash warriors because it's easy to cap out.

 

I don't actually disagree with you. In fact I did state that objectively DKs are not in the best position at the endgame, and I would like to see warriors in general buffed, especially DKs. Where I have issues is are posts and memes that are going to sound abrasive and unhelpful to new players and people parroting things without really knowing the context. I would be put off if I were a new Spearman player who wanted to experience nostalgia and the first thing someone told me was to throw this in the rubbish pin and make a Page instead.

I recently hosted a Zak run and a 135 DK responded to our smega and wanted to join and we were teaching him what DK usually does at Zakum. He was afraid no one would take him but when he played with Berserk he said he had so much fun and I think that's really the most important part. I also have other DK friends and guildies who play at bosses in Neo Tokyo and they also enjoy the class. One of them died a lot the first time he played but when we give him SE and he's under Berserk he hits really high numbers. I hope you find it fun and if you don't you can always try another class afterwards. I'm still making a new DK because of friends who would really appreciate HB ^^
