Is HP washing necessary?

    Hey guys, I've just joined this server and I've seen multiple people talking about "hp washing". Now i've done some research and figured out what HP washing is and why people do it.

    Now I am still left with some questions:

    What classes need HP washing and can they boss at high level WITHOUT hp washing or is it really necessary.

    I hope you guys can help me out =D

    The short is:

    Ranged classes without defense skills such as Corsairs, Nightlords, 4th Job Archers should consider hp wash to fight the end game boss (horntail) at a reasonable level.

    Classes such as warriors and buccaneers don't need to wash to fight end game bosses either because of their high base health.

    Classes such as shadowers and all mages have a defense skill to reduce damage taken (meso guard/magic guard).

    What is the minimum HP you need to fight horntail or zakum without hyper body? :confused:

    You could also just as well play your character without washing or with a minimal amount of washing. Though HP washing would allow you to be able to boss at an earlier level than you can without washing. Also there's the luxury side of worrying less about your hp when you have a much higher health. :D

    around 3.2-3.3k HP for zakum
    around 9k HP for horntail (tail), this number drops to 5.6k HP after tail dies
