Grats on 40 as an Islander! What's with that quest btw? I have never seen it before. Regardless, this is making me want to make an islander myself, not sure of the name and build I'd go for though.

 

The 'A Fresh New Look' quest is specifically for islanders who reach level 20(? if I recall correctly), you kill a bunch of mobs and you get a random haircut, and it's repeatable.

 

Or a new face.

All I have to say is this...I have officially made an Islander after getting my Beginner to level 60. Don't know how active I'll be, hopefully snag a good rose in the near future? If not, get a good Gold Surfboard and main that. Going for a 20 STR, rest on DEX build on this guy. Where do I get the hair/face coupon quest once I get to level 20 by the way?

 

I just started my first round of "I'm Not Satisfied...". I really love the dialogue for it, that's pure gold. Hopefully I can start getting the rest of the equips I'm missing during this time. I have been getting extremely unlucky with below average rolls on almost everything so far. Pretty much just need to grind out Amethyst Earrings, Blue One-Lined T-Shirt, White Gomushins and Ice Jeans, as well as getting a better Gold Surfboard (-1 average attack). I'll continue this tomorrow.

I was getting very badly droughted on equip drops. Took me forever to get my t-shirt, jeans and gomushins. And took me 6 surfboards to finally get one that wasn't below average. I have the absolute worst luck by far. Though I am hyped to grind out a good White and Blue Valentine Rose in the very near future. Anyway, my current status is as follows:

 

Just hit the big 30 today! I wanted to thank the Islander community for being inviting and accepting of me and for a Lifeguard Saver gift and White Valentine Rose gift to assist with the grinding. I started to collect drops such as t-shirts and spare ice jeans in case anyone else wants to join the islander adventure. I don't have much right now unfortunately but I'm sure the collection will grow over time.

Took a lil break.

Got back into modern maple a lil while back, figured I'd play some Old school maple and Artale is just a little to janky for me.
Dunno how long I'll be playing though since im about to get real busy IRL
