Hi Lycander! Been trying to /find you but to no avail :c I usually play on channel 6 pig map or df!

 

I'd love to meet both of you in-game. This weekend's a bit tricky. Tonight I'm packing for a trip but I might get some time to play. I've got a lot going on Saturday setting up some test shots for an upcoming movie (I make movies) and Sunday I'm going to be gone the majority of the day driving two states away. However, I am confident we will meet up one day soon. Thanks for the replies and I look forward to hanging out on MapleIsland.

From now on, I will play exclusively on Channel 6 to ensure our paths cross.

I think the best map for blue snails is the Snail Garden, the one just above the portal to Amherst on the west side. That's where I farmed Blue-Striped Shirts and monster cards. I usually farm for ice Jeans at Mushroom Garden (have yet to find a perfect one). IGN is Zrar if you're online and want to farm together.

I offer you but one piece of advice:

 

To all who saw my (now deleted) post, I fixed the Windows Defender issue my computer was having. Upon searching the forums, I was able to find a solution. Good news as that means I'll be staying! Yay! Fun times are had by all! Catch you all on Channel 6!

 

Yeah most of the time you just need to add the folder and .exe as exclusions in Windows Defender. First couple install tries are a pain, but after should run no problem

TL;DR version
Old torchbearers that were constant have moved on/quit/etc. Since a couple of them were founders of the Southperry guild, it's been disbanded. Jung1e created a new guild named Newbology.

Event was insanely grindy with lackluster rewards. I forget the math I completed when the event first started, but I think it was something effective to ~8-12 hours of grinding for 1 exchange. 8-12 hours to just get some random potions if you were unlucky. Not that events are required, but having something that's fun and exciting (as opposed to a really long grindfest for very little gain in most cases) makes a difference.

Event introduced an exploit in regards to islanders - again. It was eventually fixed, but it wasn't right away. It's not the first event where this issue has occurred.


I think that's the gist of it. Not that new islanders don't crop up, but if an active community isn't there, it's hard for new islanders to stay committed to playing. I personally don't have the time to really be online anymore - I imagine with school starting up, the same goes for others as well.

 

If in game islander is dead, at least make it alive in islander discord.

I grinded my ass off during this event and just need a short break but I will return in October for Halloween event for any potential items.

I grinded from 62 to 65 during the event and got 1500 nets. Not sure if worth but exp boost is always nice

 

What items did you get from the nets?

 

3 white duck tubes, 3 yellow duck tubes (1 blue), 2 mermaid chairs 1 tropical chair, and a few lifeguard savers and a few 45, 55 boards, a few unripe apples

as of now, currently 0. i plan to be back after this week and hopefully with halloween event coming soon more islanders will return.
