Day 1

Today I join the Islander community.

With the Snailmancy update Magelanding has never been easier.



Snail magic makes for fast early levels. That said, i'm now prepared to suffer for the next however many, to infinity and beyond



Progression of Magelander goals:
- Reach level 20
- Get Metal Wand
- Reach 300 MP
- Get Refreshing Blue Potion Chair
- Finish Mai's level 20 quest
- Collect all Maple Island Monster Book cards
- Reach level 30
- Reach 800 MP
- Equip Metal Wand
- Reach 105% Speed
- Reach 110% Speed
- Reach 120% Speed
- Reach 1 hit Dexterity with Metal Wand
- Reach 2000 MP (MP Washing goal)
- Reach level 40
- Get a new hairstyle
- Get a new hairstyle I like
- Get a new face
- Get a new face I like
- Reach level 50





Not sure what other equips I need to optimise magelander. 100 MP chair and speed will be nice, but there's not a whole lot else to this subclass me thinks. If anyone has ideas please let me know.

Special thanks to c7gs and Deuxal for giving me some mesos to buy MP potions. Waow the meso to cost ratio is not on point for this grind.

Welcome to the community my friend. Good luck getting anything from the event, raffle is lvl 70+. Santa only gives us coal every year

 

Thank you, I aim for level 70 by Monday so I can get Warm Muffler and INT gear so I can MP wash to 30k by level 120

 

Day 2

Snailmancer going good. Had a brief panic with dwindling MP potion resources, but luckily a very oddly high levelled Islander by the name of Newbton swung by and purchased my 10% Overall Dex scroll for the gentle sum of 666k mesos. I don't yet have Refreshing Blue Potion Chair. MP potion meso cost still seems to exceed meso earnings. I am genuinely debating selling some leech if I hit 0 mesos again, this will be the new Islander meta.

Did that Islander quest with the hefty requirements.
Got some hair.



I don't like it.

I did some more levelling at Hunting Grounds II, GM buffs hit giving me a solid push off the starting bell and actually started hitting epm greater than the 40-45k max exp rates I was used to. So I started pushing the limits:



Pretty nifty exp rates. Could I break the 60k eph limit?



Yep.

Still missed some Three Snails casts and probably messed up some rotations around the map. Speculating the absolute magelander peak eph I could hit at less than 65k. Keep in mind this is with a 20% exp event bonus and 10% bonus from Holy Symbol solo. Would be nice to queue up with a party member sometime if they're willing to suffer a snailmancer's substantially slower rate.

Looks like 5,567,708 more exp to gain from level 67 to 70!

Let avg eph = 60,000

5,567,708/60,000 = 92.7 hours/16 days = 5.79 hours per day

 

I'm not going for 70 before event ends!

 

If you do it like a job (6hours/day), then you'll get there before the event ends!!

If I’m actively grinding, my rate seems to be a level a week. If I continue at this pace I’ll likely be 69 and some % when the event ends. It’s also possible that my grind becomes a bit more casual and I only level up one more time during the event.

I don’t have any hard plan or routine, I just grind for the sake of enjoying the grind. I’m not looking to push myself beyond what is comfortable to reach 70 before the event as I don’t think there is anything worth pushing myself to get. My only real want would be a chaos scroll, and that is so far from a guarantee that it is not on my radar whatsoever.

Also possibly a chance that we have some overtime as sometimes the turn in npc stays around for a bit after the event ends.

 

I just realized!! If you get to lvl69 and stay there till next Xmas Event you can max out your Rudolf Hat!!

But mostly! Congrats on your massive massive levels!!!!!
