THIS IS NOT FOR PEOPLE DCING (also with black screen) IF YOU CHANGE CHANNEL, BUT FOR BOSSING
    PROTOTYPE CLIENT FEEDBACK: CLICK
    Public version now available: Click

    Title.

About a year ago I had a project with a friend to make MapleStory run from .img files instead of .wz files. This supposedly permanently fixes any kind of GFX errors in-game.

Sadly we got stuck and I had to dust the prototype client for about a year. Coming back now, LiliLili who has helped us a lot find out the cause of GFX by debugging all over place make me remember about the client. She looked into it and find out why it no longer did boot (where we got stuck) and fixes it.

So now we got a working client that runs MapleStory from .img files directly instead of .wz's. This was used back in the day by Neckson but they disabled all the functions in the client since it was never meant to be used by the public. But as we know by now Neckson is very great at disabling things, which is why we got it running now.

With the story aside I need testers to see if the following is true by my other friend that re-enabled all the functions in the client:
For Windows so far for our testers (and myself) we couldn't trigger GFX yet for a single time whatsoever. This includes using the heavy April 1st files that made it much worse (which is also the files I use in this test client on purpose).

For MAC users while we got this method also working for MAC, we are not 100% sure yet if it works. We had a really hard time crash for MAC as well, but eventually after spawning over 3500 zakums it did happen, but I see this as not the best way to test, so have hopes up still.

Cool story Kim, so what do you want from us?

I need testers that blackscreen crash a lot, and are ready to give feedback if they still with these new files.
I need testers that are willing to sacrifice a run by doing a Zakum or Horntail run without GFXing at all
I need both Windows and MAC testers. For MAC I need a tester that Zak run a lot, since as far I've heard MAC users instant crash at Zakum

The download will be 1.82 GB so it will be a full download. If you have slow internet, I recommend to let other test it
The MAC one will be as usual a bit bigger.

If you are interested, PM me and tell me what you want to test and where you crash a lot (ex: Cake, Horntail, Zakum) and let me know which part you will be testing.

    Thanks.

If you never crash nor GFX than sadly you will not be an accurate test. I need people that consistent crash somewhere.

If you need a MAC tester, I'd be happy to help out.

So far during cake boss (which I GFX everytime) I've never had a dc but I do however lag from time to time and couldn't get 150 hits twice cause of the lags but have successfully did the cake boss around 10 times so it doesn't hurt me too much.

Even though I'm not a high level attacker, I can still check zakum by getting myself into runs and see how it is :D

Interesting.. I'm not yet high enough lvl to do boss runs but I can't stop dc'ing at cake boss, it's an instant crash for me everytime. If that's any help, I could give some feedback in that area. That's all I can do for now atleast.

I'm now on a break, but I can still help by doing testing it at zakum, I usually dc at zakum if I don't GFX(even then it's 50/50 if I don't dc)
And since i'm on a break, I don't mind testing it on zakum.

I can help test Mac at Zakum/HT - I currently DC 100% of the time on those - I don't DC at all on Cake Boss and don't change GFX there.

I'm on Mac! Can help to test Cake, Zakum and HT. I get black screen on Cake, DC 100% with Zakum, but I'm not sure about HT!

I haven't tried cake boss on my Nvidia, but I used to dc 100 % during Snowman also at zak or HT with my Nvidia graphic card on.
Never dc on integrated intel HD graphics until anniversary patch.
After that patch, I started dcing even with integrated graphics.
However, the latest files helped fixing the gfx dcs, but not 100%.
