Update Map monster changes: 10/04/2020

    We're also releasing our first wave of map changes for this year!

    Ludibrium (Lvl 40-45):
    • Toy Factory <Process 1> Zone 1 (Master Robos) spawn rate increased

    Omega Sector (Lvl 45-55):
    • Hidden Street - Defeat Monsters (Mecateon, Plateon, MT-09) spawn rate increased

    Mu Lung (Lvl 45-55):
    • Practice Field : Beginner (Straw Target Dummy) spawn rate increased
    • Practice Field : Easy Level (Straw Target Dummy, Wooden Target Dummy) spawn rate increased
    • Practice Field : Normal Level (Straw Target Dummy, Wooden Target Dummy) spawn rate increased
    • Practice Field : Advanced Level (Wooden Target Dummy) spawn rate increased

    Victoria (Lvl 55-65):
    • Sleepywood: Forest of Golem (Mixed & Dark Golem) spawn rate increased

    Taiwan (Lvl 70-85):
    • Star Avenue South Section Greatest Oldies no longer have drops, instead Latest Hits do (similar to Gobies)
    • City Plaza East Section (Kid Mannequin) # of mobs & spawn rate increased
    • City Plaza North Section (Female Manne) # of mobs & spawn rate increased
    • City Plaza South Section (Male Manne) # of mobs & spawn rate increased
    • City Plaza West Section (All Manne) # of mobs & spawn rate increased

    Malaysia (Lvl 85-90):
    • Malaysia: Fantasy Theme Park 3 (Vikerola) spawn rate increased

    Deep Ludibrium (Lvl 85+):
    • Hidden Street - Unbalanced Time (Dual Ghost Pirates) spawn rate increased
    • Warped Path of Time <4> (Spirit Vikings) spawn rate increased
    • Hidden Street - Twisted Time (Gigantic Spirit Vikings) spawn rate increased
    • Hidden Street - Forbidden Time (Grim Phantom Watches) spawn rate increased

    Zipangu (Lvl 90+):
    • Zipangu: Encounter with the Buddha (Hime/Dreamy Ghosts) spawn rate increased

    Leafre (Lvl 95+):
    • Destroyed Dragon Nest (Jr Newties) spawn rate increased

    Hi, could you specify by how much these increases are? Also, considering how Lucida's in Orbis aren't really useful anymore, is there a chance they get an update in the future?

    This has always been a viable option. Now it might even be better than gs for warriors

    Yeah when I trained my warrior I was always a huge fan of FoG over GS2. The GFA and equip drops really helped boost my funds, and you never had to fight for a map.

    Also, skele maps have been buffed to a certain degree in the past. The flat map actually reaches pretty high EPMs, as long as you can get the rotation down. It rewards better play, rather than braindead left right.

    I'd like to see the Cave of Pain to get a buff in the future. Also each of the Corridors in the Crimsonwood Keep, but we shall see.

    Have jr. Newts really been buffed? I checked it out today and it feels exactly the same. On the flip side, the jr. Newts map to the right of it seems to have had an increase of max spawned but not an increase in spawn rate.

    Out of all the changes here, I think the big winners are STDs, FoG, CDs and Vikerola. Vikerola in particularly is actually a pretty nice leeching spot now too; I was able to get someone 8.7m eph on split leech for something that's 3 levels earlier than ulu 1 and easier to OHKO (Vikerolas have only 36k HP compared to Veetron's 42k). Mannes are probably also more OK for mobbing classes now, though they're not really gonna be top choices when CDs are basically right next door so it's probably mostly an improvement for hermits. I don't really think much of the other places; Master Robo map is complete garbage and the Deep Ludi maps are also way too big to be used effectively by one or two characters, and newtie "buff" might as well not exist because it doesn't increase the number of spawn spots, so the maximum spawn increase is meaningless.

    There are some maps I'd really like to see buffs like these to in the future. Forest of Dead Tree I-IV in El Nath and Camp 1 in Perion extension maps would make really nice alternatives for the swarms of clerics who can't find a spot on the ghost ship, and there are a few maps that could potentially divert traffic away from ulu 2 - Dangerous Sea Gorge 2 (squids), Ghost Cave 5 (giving the Strong Stone Goblins a proper drop table would help a lot, too), Red Wyvern's Nest and Blue Wyvern's Nest. Ghost Ship and Ulu 2 are the most hotly contested maps in the game right now, so I think potential alternatives to them would be the most beneficial maps to buff in the immediate future.

    Deep Ludi maps could be good if you get a party for it. On my I/L Mage I was getting pretty good EXP on Spirit Vikings, but I can't clear the map solo in a reasonable time frame. I reckon it would pretty good EXP with a Priest and another mage though, and I plan to revisit Deep Ludi in 4th job.
