Map owner abuse?

Kimberly What if mapowner at snowman event asks everbody to leave, and they won't. Would you bann them all? That seems to be the logic here.

A lower mapowner duration seems like a good way to stop multiple channel camping.
Also, maybe make it require you to kill a mob to gain ownership, instead of just a single hit. You shouldn't be able to claim ownership if you can't even train in the map...

 

Kinda sounds like what i used to do when fishing for a PQ channel.
Save IGNs and stalk them.

 

I always thought ch1 should be FFA, it's like the public domain. It's so rude when you're in channel 1 and someone asks you to cc. Like, where bruh? You're the one that wants to train alone, why don't you go cc there's 8 other channels.

Might be a newby perspective but I think it can keep some healthy competition while still making sure there's a place to go if you're being ks'ed.

 

How about a 'boss owner' mechanism, separate from the 'map owner' mechanism? First person to hit the area boss owns it, and takes priority over map owner. This way people can't camp anego map with low level characters that can attack the low level mobs, but not anego itself. And this would also allow more competition for those that are actively seeking bosses vs. those that just camp the map with map owner until it spawns. If someone actively seeking the boss happens to come while it just spawns, they can attack it and take boss owner, which would make sense compared to someone just camping the map and only attacking mobs in order to keep map owner.

Removing the safespot for anego wouldn't be fair compared to the smaller bosses that have 100% safespots (literally ropes you can never get hit on). People only camp lower level bosses because:
1) They have a ridiculously high drop rate that never got fixed to 1x rates and you can farm easy mesos from them due to equips and scrolls, which is honestly a whole other topic.
2) Doing the mini-boss quests that give a lot of fame, in which case you just need to camp one map and kill the boss one time to finish the quest for that boss.

On the other hand, people camp anegos 24/7 because they give a good amount of exp and also have a chance to drop yss that sell for 25m+ depending on that stats.

 

How about more channels? How many mules can they operate at the same time to keep up with all the channels?

 

It's easier than you think. I can easily open at least 8 MapleLegends clients and display them all on my monitor, and all you need is a level 3x-4x char to take map owner in anego maps. Not to mention, more channels = more bosses like anego and BF, which makes leveling even more easier than it already used to be.

how about making this map command more of a suggestion rather than a bannable offense
if you repeatdly ks noobs / harass them you can get an alert and so on
