MapleLegends Voting Information

Hello Maplers!

There seems to be a lot of players are not completely aware of how voting and GTOP rankings work, and why it is important for any server.

GTOP is a Private Server ranking list. Every server that registers on the site shows up on their list. For whatever reasons, GTOP became very famous in the MapleStory scene and nearly every popular server uses it. A significant portion of our traffic comes from their site, and its a great way to advertise and reach out to more players.

This is our GTOP listing:



IN:
This is the amount of votes that we have received as a result of all of you guys voting each day. GTOP resets their rankings at the beginning of every month and every vote is important, especially on the first few days after a reset. Generally, the higher you are on the rankings, the more users/traffic you will get.

The Big 10:
This is our overall ranking relative to all of the other servers registered on GTOP. The lower the number, the better.

OUT:
This is the amount of people who have clicked on our server's listing. Its probably not 100% accurate due to bots and search engines, but it still gives you a good idea of where a lot of your players come from.

Once you click on our server you get some basic server information, but there's one other thing.



This is a chart showing our vote totals for each of the last 30 days. Here, you can see a server's general progress and get a better idea of whether it's growing or shrinking. Once again, the more votes per day, the higher we get on the rankings, which helps the server out a lot.

Premium Users:
As you've noticed, GTOP has a lot of premium users. Premium users are given 150 free votes at the beginning of each month, while also being able to have their banner displayed on the front page.

How many times can I vote a day?
GTOP allows voting once every 24 hours

It is against the rules to vote for extra Cash. Receiving more than 5000 Vote Cash in a 24 hour period would be considered vote abuse and you may be subject to bans and/or removal of Vote Cash from your account. Note that you are allowed to alternate votes per day on your different accounts.

I hope that with this guide you can see why voting is very important for a server, especially servers that still need to grow. You should not vote for the NX, you should vote because you wish to support the server. Its similar to donating; you should donate to support a server, not for the rewards.
