I did. But this is the latest version that has been working pretty good compared to older versions. Is there a specific version i need to use in order to play legends?

Other people have found that the older version of crossover works for them on their M1 chip mac devices.

When I tried playing the game with the latest version it always crashed / never opened the game.

I installed the older version and it seems to work.
I for one use a M1 Air on Monterey, not sure if it works on Ventura though.

Other than that, look at the legends.ini file in the folder, see that it has the graphics down to 0 (800x600) or 1 (1366x768) because the higher res one doesn't work.

On Crossover you have an option to enhance the graphics (should be stated on the Mac guide too) I remember trying out enabling/disabling it and it worked, not sure if with or without it anymore.
Haven't played in months, but I remember it being quite easy.
