A free tool to help you pick the best scrolling strategy before you spend your mesos.

You choose an item, scroll type, and a scrolling plan → MapleScroller runs 100,000 simulations of that plan and shows you:

    • All possible outcomes and their probabilities

    • Expected total cost

    • How risky or safe the strategy really is
I built this tool, I’ve been using it myself, and now I’m sharing it with the community so we can all scroll smarter instead of guessing when MapleStory Classic World is released.

You can save plans, tweak them, and compare different approaches side-by-side. I’m actively improving it and would love feedback from real players break it, question it, tell me what’s missing.

    Quick Update - Jan 30

    Google sign-in is live
You can now register / log in with Google, making it much easier to save your scrolling plans and come back to them later.

    1,000+ unique users!
We passed 1,000 unique users earlier this week - huge thanks for all the support, testing, and feedback

    Feb 13 Update – This One’s HUGE

This is probably the biggest MapleScroller update so far

    Emulator Mode is LIVE

After selecting your base item + scrolls, you can now switch from Simulator → Emulator and apply the scrolls yourself.
    • Manually test sequences
    • See how many attempts it takes
    • Track total cost as you go
    • Experiment with different strategies

Once you find a sequence you like, just hit “Convert to Simulator” and it’ll instantly run 100,000 simulations on that exact sequence.
You can now test how fast (and how cheaply) you realistically reach your desired stats.

    Simulation Results – Massive Upgrade

The results table is now way more powerful:
    • You can assign a weight to each stat
    • Weights combine into a total score per outcome
    • Outcomes can now be ranked based on what you actually care about
Want STR to matter more than DEX?
Click the weight icon next to the stat column header and override the default.

This makes comparing outcomes 10x easier.

    More Improvements
    • Added tooltips for every scroll showing their benefits
    • For mixed scroll plans, results now clearly show success count per scroll type

Give the new features a try and let me know what you think.
As always, your feedback shapes what gets built next

    Feb 20 Update

    Worth & Cumulative Revenue added
You can now enter the Worth of each outcome in the Simulation Results table, and see the Cumulative Revenue to understand if the scroll plan is actually profitable (or not). Makes it much easier to decide if it’s worth committing to a plan.

    Quality-of-life improvements
    • Drag & drop columns to reorder the table
    • More tooltips
    • Faster dropdown loading
    • Recents for items and scrolls (no more re-searching the same ones)
    • Additional small UX improvements

Give it a try and let me know what you think - your feedback is always appreciated!

First of all, this is an amazing tool. The interface is very clean and the idea of simulating scroll outcomes instead of guessing is fantastic. Huge respect for building and sharing this with the community.

I did get a bit confused when trying to use it though, and I realized my mental model of what the tool would do was slightly different.

What I instinctively expected was something like this:

Instead of me choosing a specific scroll and strategy first, I would pick an item (for example a Red Sauna Robe, or even just "Mage gear") and then let the tool run simulations across all relevant scroll options automatically.

So the flow would be more like:
Item → Desired stat (e.g. INT / Mage optimization) → Run simulation

Then the tool would output something like a ranked list of strategies, for example:
    1. Best expected value strategy
    2. Safer lower risk strategy
    3. High risk high reward strategy
And for each strategy it would show things like:
    • Which scrolls to use
    • In what order
    • When to stop (after first fail, after two fails, etc.)
    • Expected cost vs expected result
Basically something that tells the player "these are the optimal strategies according to the simulations".

The reason this is the mental model I came in with is because, from a player perspective, the need usually looks like one of these two cases:
    1. I am playing a specific class and want to scroll an item for myself.
    2. I have an item that I want to improve and then sell for maximum mesos, even if I do not personally use it.
So the typical input might be:
    • A specific item intended for a specific class
    • Or a general item usable by multiple classes, where the user selects the desired stat (for example INT for mages)
Then the tool would run all relevant simulations automatically and output the strategies whose outcomes have the highest probability of occurring.

Maybe I am approaching this the wrong way, which is possible. But as a user coming in without knowing the intended workflow, that was the expectation in my head, and that is where I got a bit lost.

It might be helpful to either:
    • Add a short explanation of the intended usage flow
    • Or add an "auto strategy finder" mode that searches strategies instead of requiring the user to define one
    • Another feature idea: selecting a class and letting the tool determine the most valuable stat combination automatically. For example, a thief might benefit from both LUK and DEX (just as an example), so instead of selecting a single stat manually, the tool could evaluate stat combinations that are actually optimal for that class.

Also one small UI suggestion: I think it would be really helpful if the header row in the Simulation Results table was sticky, so that when scrolling down through the results the column titles remain visible.

Either way, this is a fantastic project and the UI is really well done. Tools like this are exactly what the community needs.
