Meso sink thread

    Would that be a problem though? More scrolls should be fine, and using charms doesnt ruin the game either in my opinion... Also it would add to the nostagia since in old maple, a lot of people sold nx for mesos.

    More gach means more luck-based item gains, means more influence in the market. After the tweaks next rev, I don't think extra gaching is needed.

    Why not just make an option at the hairstylists to buy a exp coupon for 1m meso?.. you would have to try multiple times to get your hairstyleDevilish

    if you dont want to click, pretty much purchase a skele map instance for certain amount of meso or any popular map for a certain amount of time (GS2, Skele, ToT(when it becomes new meta))

    Tweaked idea, dont make clothes mesos but make pets mesos. Pets are the main reason everyone picks up so much money and the server is slowly getting flooded. Making pets cost mesos a part of this will be filtered back out of the system. Just an idea...

    Edit-
    Oh and maybe make them char specific and let the lvl decide the amount of mesos it will cost. (Only flaw I can think of right now is donor pets giving an unfair advantage)

    Edit 2-
    Maybe only make mesos and item magnets buyable through mesos.

    Don't make it scale with level. Sure, high-levels are bound to have more money, but there's FutureLegend merchants that are very rich as well.

    I don't know how this shit actually works, but can we make a casino? I know whenever I go to this casino (which unfortunately is too often) I lose a lot of money and win barely anything.

    I know I'd go broke if there was a slot machine where every 100k pull I have a chance to win more Mesos (of course end up losing it all).

    There's already a gambling thing in the game, but you can't really win much from it. Maybe make that more high risk, high reward?

    I've heard a lot of people complaining that scrolls in general are really expensive now.
    Doesn't that mean scrolling items is a pretty solid meso sink right now? If shit goes well, sure you can make your money back. But that's the minority of people.

    Scrolling is not a meso sink because it doesn't take any mesos out of the economy. Buying pots/anythign else with mesos is a meso sink. But unless scrolls are purchasable with mesos, no mesos are given to the game in exchange for them, so it is not a meso sink.

    A meso sink means the mesos are taken out of circulation in some way or another. Buying pots is one of them. As you give mesos to an NPC to get pots. However, in FM you give those mesos to another player. Meaning that player gets the spending power you had to spend. The mesos don't disappear.

    Since mesos disappear at a very low pace. At most buying pots and a few one time purchases. While the meso acquiring from mobs being sky high. Especially with NPCing equips and the like. There's far bigger meso creation then disappearance; Creating inflation.

    This plagues many MMO's and even real economies.

    Your idea sounds partially good. I dislike the idea of putting a high level limit though. The problem is that you're not trying to make the powerful even more powerful. If Mods implemented your plan, no doubt all the 150+ would monopolize literally everything. That's why opposed to gach and scrolls; things that can make a players stronger, you look at the neutral non op items.

    The point of a high level limit is because of the feature that keeps track of how many times you have bought a ticket with your account. If a level 1 character could buy tickets, what would be the point? Everyone would make 100 mules and buy gash tickets for dirt cheap. Keep in mind that you need to be lv 45 in order to gash in the first place.

    The high level already do dominate the market in a way, and not in a good way. Gash has only been the real equalizer, providing all players with a form of welfare and income to help stabilize economic inequalities.

    But even an idea like this, to buy gashapon tickets for mesos would not give the rich an even bigger advantage. The reason being that the more tickets you buy, the more they cost. Everyone should be able to buy a few tickets, but as you buy more and more, they become so expensive that it probably just isn't worth it.

    Under the idea outlined in that other thread (100k per ticket with a 10k increase each time):
    10 tickets cost 1,650,000 mesos.
    20 tickets cost 4,200,000 mesos.
    30 tickets cost 7,750,000 mesos.
    40 tickets cost 12,300,000 mesos.
    By now they're paying 400k per gash ticket.

    I would expect that sure, the rich would be willing to pay more for a ticket and be able to afford it. But since the cost of tickets is increasing, I'd expect that your average player could probably buy about half as many as the highest level player... that isn't too bad.

    Here is the thing though: if you try to add a "meso sink", but you do not provide any items players actually want (like gash, scrolls, things that can make you stronger) then it will automatically fail. If nobody wants it, it has no value. Therefore trying to exchange mesos for something with no value obviously does not give mesos any more value.

    I don't think you get my point. Prices based on lvl is because skeles drop 800~+ mesos while snails only drop 20~mesos. Also I would say reduce the time these items last to like 2 weeks or something.
