New Leaf Update, Issue 1

Hey maplers! Welcome to the first in a series of updates I'll be writing regarding New Leaf, its players and progress, its struggles, and its memorable moments.

The challenge has been running for just over two days now, and in that time we've had a level of turnout I that never could have expected:

My vision for New Leaf

A lot of our players are starting to hit the level ~40 range, which is typically where early game quests dry up and the true grind begins. Who will weather the harsh conditions to come? Who will crumble under the weight of the colossal grind?

It's way too early to say how things will turn out, but if possible, I'd like to see a good amount of players reach 3rd and 4th job, and possibly even defeat some of the game's bosses. Beyond that, it's hard to say. Certain things, like obtaining skillbooks, promise to be incredibly challenging if anyone is even brave enough to try. Who can say if anyone will even make it that far? This is why I rolled a Cleric, so that I can support the homies as long as they continue to strive.


Thinking about joining?

Don't be shy about joining if you're on the fence. Don't worry about feeling like you've missed out. The average level is still quite low, and either way, the grind is the ultimate equalizer that will even out all players over time. I believe in you!
