Now THIS is the MS I remember..

LastSteak here and I am so glad I stumbled upon this server!

I started playing during 7th grade, which would have been somewhere between 2005 or 2006. I remember how we recruited as many other kids to play as we could, and Broa became our home. Lunch in the cafetoria consisted of square pizzas and conversations about all of our Pig Beach deaths and KPQ rewards. Spending the night at a friend's house usually consisted of all-nighters of Smash Bros and MapleStory. I would play off and on until Junior year of high school when my closest friend passed away. Even though my interest had moved to other games (and ladies) by that point, losing my Maple partner was the nail in the coffin (edit: pun not intended ). My highest characters were a wee level 72 dragon knight and 52 assassin.

Sorry if that story was a downer, but that's life. I would try to play some post-BB every now and then, but just like retail World of Warcraft the game just feels so bloated and fast-paced that it sucks all the chill out of the game. Some people may say games like OSMS, OSRS, or Classic WoW are just nostalgia trips, but I disagree. When Classic WoW released in 2019 I was so hyped. I ended up raiding well into 2021 with the same guild, and it was some of the most fun gaming I've had in years. Now I'm looking forward to diving back into Maple!

I am 31 years old, married, and living in Texas with our lovable pets (German shepherd, 2 little mutts, a munchkin cat, one 3-footed kitten, one fat cat, one old cat, and one needy cat). Lately I've gotten into GameBoy modding, old-school Gundam (anime and models), guitars, iPod modding, and anything retro I can get my hands on. Spent some time in the Navy, got out, graduated nursing school, and am about to go back into the service.

PS - This is my first private MS server since 2008, and oh-boy have we come a long way since the janky lag-fest of yesteryear.
