    What would that accomplish other than nerfing both NLs and archers? Furthermore, if NLs are still the #1 dps after such a nerf (they would have to, of course, or NLs would be useless) an SE nerf would ironically only further push squads to be more NL-oriented as the nerf would also lessen DPM of sairs and other melee, i.e. you would need to replace more non-NLs with NLs to make up for the squad damage loss.

    It would probably boost warrior and shad viability though, which in conjunction with reducing delay between DR activation and the taking of damage, increasing DR damage to 30k, and/or mini bean changes, might actually make them relevant and solid contenders.

    PB KB can be changed to more than 200K instead of nerfing snipe damage. This would be already a huge nerf to MM. However, i only believe it’s necessary to do this in case staff doesn’t find a way to fix dr bugging because of sniping.

    Just want to clarify, is the reason this would be a huge nerf to MMs be because it's harder to ensure PB faces right? Wouldn't MM's still be in a good spot because their snipe ignores the damage reduction?

    yeah, Mm helps a lot making it look to the right. A similar geared end game NL (both with perfect gear) hits significantly more. Also, NLs are much better on statues too. So, yeah, better mule SE and use a NL in case Kb thing is nerfed. The worse the gear, the better is MM in comparison to NL tho.

    this this this. Pink bean can stay the way it is yadiyadiyada but this suggestion is A+

    What I envision changing DR damage to 30k damage would do:
    1) prevents NLs, archers, pirates from tanking a hit of DR even with 30k base hp.
    2) allows only warriors (Achilles), shads (meso guard), and mages (magic guard) to tank a DR hit
    3) gives some more preference to recruiting people from 2) instead of from 1). Cleave who dies 0 times >>> Range who dies 10 times
    4) makes the duration of DR more challenging (as VowelsVowels mentioned) since only warriors can rush (no more buccs repositioning bean during DR)

    Also would be nice to make the left corner of PB less safe, doesn't make sense for there to be a spot like this in the hardest boss in the game where you don’t get dispelled or seduced, and rarely get hit, which allows people to bring their mules and take up spots from other players that could be actively helping out.

    you could go case by case to see what are the main uses multiclient has in different bossing scenarios:

    cwkpq: to sign up, loot a mon
    scarga: buffs, looting helmet
    zakum: afk service, looting helmet
    horntail: seduce mule, afk service, looting pendant
    neo tokyo: coins, buffs
    pink bean: resurrections, timeleaps, HB, sometimes SE

    pink bean is the final boss and it has by far the most broken multiclient mechanics because it's basically free wheels. Compared to providing an afk service, looting a helmet or a pendant with another char, getting a buff or even the optional ht sedmule, the PB mule resurrection factory is critical to clear runs. Plus there's the benefits of having a very easy orb quest and a wall to hug and afk safely. I don't think it would be too crazy if multiclient in pb gets some restrictions or at least get rid of wall safety

    CWKPQ restriction but you need 1 sign of every job branch. Class diversity in endgame content :sneaky:

    Hilariously enough, it is more often than not the cleavers who die much much more than the range for some reason.

    While I think the suggestions are well-intentioned, I still don't think this would compel hosts to take non-ranged attackers. This would penalize ranged attackers for sure, but ranged attackers will still end up far superior in utility. Sure, the current ranged and NLs will probably die in the first few runs but eventually people will just adapt and actually have to pay attention, after which case the same problem that's plaguing runs right now emerges (namely, cleaves are a meme). And when I say this change will penalize ranged attackers, I don't think they'll be taken any less on runs, it's just that NLs might actually have to pay attention for once (so their penalty is having to play the game!)
