I'll try to address the Fullscreen issue s̶o̶o̶n̶T̶M̶.
Done, updated Lutris script. This may take a while before it gets approved by the moderators.

How to fix fullscreen being problematic: (Simply change Wine version):
Or follow the instructions in the video...
    https://files.catbox.moe/cx0wpv.webm

It's on Lutris you should be able to click install on Lutris and it will do the rest.
If you still have difficulty I will make a video if you want.

When was the last time you tried to install using Lutris?
Perhaps it was using the old script, did you try to hard-refresh ( ctrl-f5 ) on the Lutris page and install?
(You might want to wait until I confirmed it works with the Halloween update.)

Yup, if you have issues with widescreen it might be possible your display doesn't have a 1366x768 resolution setting. If so either configure the ".ini" file to start windowed or enable virtual desktop in Wine.
This also fixes playing on Wayland, you won't be able to go full screen (If you try it will just be windowed).

It is also possible to add this resolution but that requires editing your Xorg config which might be dangerous if you're a beginner and don't know how a terminal works.

Give me a moment I will update the Lutris install script.
From there it should be a one click install.

It is the same as in the OP. I don't think my WINE config has been updated since 2017. I am using WINE 4.18.

Really the only thing I changed was setting the Windows version to Windows 98 after installing MapleLegends. Everything else is just having the right libraries installed.

Damn; I'm trying to get HD working on macOS (which of course not Linux but BSD) and XQuartz doesn't like the resizing (in a stable fashion) nor does the default macOS Quartz driver.

Is the Linux one stable in HD? If it is might be time I dual installed Arch or Gentoo or something.

I had a few crashes and freezes, but it's a rather rare occurrence, it might also be my laptop overheating. Resizing just clips the window (Black at the edges):

If you have issues with the game freezing when in fullscreen, open up winecfg, click video, and then click "enable the virtual desktop" and set the screen res to your native resolution.

Has anyone else gotten this error trying to get the client to work on wine?
    Code:
0009:err:d3d:wined3d_caps_gl_ctx_create Failed to get a DC.
0009:err:d3d:wined3d_adapter_gl_init Failed to get a GL context for adapter 0xddbe70
I have no problems setting up and installing the client, its just that when I try to run the client I get this error.

I have followed previously mentioned steps to install the client (dlls with winetricks including d3dx9* d3dx10* d3dx11* dlls, the ws2_* dlls, setting application to run with Windows98, WINEARCH=win32, etc.)
I tried this in ArchLinux, and in Debian as well returning the same error.
I've also have tried both Nvidia proprietary drivers and Nouveau drivers (using GTX 660Ti graphics card).
    Some help would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm not a Linux user but I've had 2 Linux users successfully run the Christmas patch using the Mac exe that Kimmy made specially for Mac users. The regular Windows exe on the website isn't compatible for Mac users at the moment. Hopefully this will help: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1nymI9piMf-w4do6NWeYb8amTUQD1zsRU

Anyone else happen to be using Fedora? I'm not sure it's possible anymore with fc31 wine packages since they're compiling with `-fstack-protector-strong` now.
