Warning: I'm a noob so this post is based on what I understand about the skill, if I am wrong please let me know.

The recent patch boosted the 3rd job mage skill Element Amplification (when the skill level is maxed out) from 135% to 140% magic attack as seen here: https://forum.maplelegends.com/index.php?threads/summer-patch-skill-changes.22062/

What that thread didn't mention is that the early levels of the skill now actually decrease your magic attack while still increasing your MP consumption. At level 1, the skill puts your magic to 82% and increases by 2% every level. So you need lv10 Ele Amp to do 100% (normal damage) while pointlessly using up more MP. I think we all agree those 10 skill points are not a worthy investment, until you save up enough SP to just bring it straight up to level 15 or so.

The problem is that Seal and more importantly Spell Booster require lv3 Ele Amp. So you can't gain access to these skills until much later into 3rd job now, after you've saved up the points for Ele Amp. Previous to this patch you would put 3 Sp into Ele Amp and then put points into Spell Booster.

Now most of you probably don't give two peanuts about 3rd job mage skill builds, but you must agree that this change doesn't make any sense. I don't see any reason why the skill can't start off at 102% magic at level 1 like it used to and then max out at 140%. Please share your thoughts on this especially if I'm wrong about how this skill works.

PS. Why doesn't Elemental Composition for F/P not actually have any elemental properties? it does neutral damage to everything.

This happened more so due to lazy way I did it, since I had not too much fun changing values of 250+ levels of skill. Since Element Amplification is a more serious skill I will fix it in the rev 2 patch that we release eventually for bug fixes.

Don't think any changes were made to composition. It's not neutral. It is half fire, half poison. Only problem is, it isn't affected by elemental wands AT ALL. Pretty much a waste of skill I guess.
