removal of waiting times when traveling

This has already been discussed as stated by Unlucky.
I honestly don't think its "not necessary" and its just for lazy players who don't want to wait to travel (or use NX for rocks).
There is indeed a functionality for the wait times, as it makes the different area (Victoria Island, Orbis, Ludi etc) seem bigger.
If you see people zipping through victoria island killing Scarlion, getting to elnath in under a minute to kill Zakum, and going to horntail right after in also under a minute. People will definitely see the maple maps very very small.

 

Waiting for ships and to travel across continents can be boring and frustrated at times, but overall I like this nostalgic feature. It gives me a reason to plan my schedule ahead of time to make the most out of each stop. I sometimes take the waiting times as breaks from playing long sessions of games to do something more productive in real life. Not to say one of the best things I love about travelling is chatting with random people who are travelling with me.

 

I also support keeping it the way that it is now because of the reasons listed above. More so, people can just camp bosses in all continents so easily and take away content from other players.
Waiting a few mins won't kill you.

 

actully i dont really like the waitting. i hate it when i have to wait for the next boat when i barley missed it
and that some rides take 10mins, half the time could have done the job *cough*.

but its part of nostalgia and you can always use the waiting time for something else :3

 

No for removing because boat rides are good for communicating with others or taking a short break from gaming to have a stretch or two.

 

I mean, once you get seeds for the vic island/leafre portal...

 

It wasn't really about making fun of you, it was just a little ironic that you joined the server that prided itself in being... well... just like the original good old days... lol
