Hi everyone! I’m back back back again to express my thoughts on the Style Saver in MapleLegends!

I asked the community about this topic last year and the response was overwhelmingly unanimous. I fear that the suggestion fell through the cracks and got buried in (understandably) more important suggestions, but I'd still like to bring it back up because it effects some players more than others.

    Previous Post For Reference

Like many others, I love changing my character’s look every once in a while, especially my character’s hair and face! It’s fantastic that we can collect infinite past event hairstyles and faces in the Style Saver to revert back to whenever we choose. But there’s a big drawback... losing 10 million mesos.

I, like many others, feel that the meso requirement is extremely high! Especially because it costs 10 million EACH. That totals 20 million if you want to change both your hair and face! That’s a lot of mesos!

For me, changing my look is the most fun part of the game, but I’m often held back by the barrier of this meso requirement. Especially since earning mesos isn’t my preferred way to play the game! I don’t boss, and I don’t merch. I just sit around, look cute, and socialize with my friends!

I know what some of you are going to say:

“Go kill a few bosses and then sell the coins!” But I don’t really enjoy bossing, and it requires me to sink mesos into pots and buy decent equips...

“Just learn the free market and merch for a couple of days to get the mesos.” Well... I don’t enjoy merching and that also requires mesos to start, so that’s out.

    “Find a sugar dadd—” NOPE.

These aren’t aspects of the game that I engage with or find fun in, and it’s not the reason I log in. I don’t plan on doing something that I don’t find enjoyable.

    Possible solutions:

NX Solution: Create a coupon that lets you change hair/face using Style Saver. This option is favorable because it could positively impact the server by increasing our standing on voting websites! It’s also a good idea because, due to the HP washing system, voting might decrease, and this is a great way to offset that loss.

Quest Solution: Create a small questline, similar to the Amoria hair quest!

Purchasable Event Coupon: Similar to the bundle cosmetics you can buy during events, a Style Saver single coupon & bundle coupon could be included as a reward for event points!

I feel very strongly about this issue, more so now than ever because of the recent drop in coin value, which has made it harder than ever to generate mesos. I just want to change my look, man!

I would love to hear from the community on this topic, especially from staff!

I understand that this issue is not a priority and will probably never be a priority because, let’s face it, the majority of players focus on the fighting & gearing aspects of the game... and naturally generate mesos that way (making this a non-issue). But I also want to advocate for those of us who enjoy the DRESS-UP part of the game exclusively (making it a bit harder to naturally obtain mesos). I know I’m not the only one who sees the 10 million price as a huge hurdle to overcome for such a low-stakes reward.

Thanks for reading this far, I hope you all have a great day-month-year-life!
