This maintenance is a PATCH maintenance.

Hello Maplers,

We will be performing a Scheduled Maintenance on December 29 It will last approximately until it's done. Upon completion, the game will be brought back online and service will be restored. Once restored, you can log in and play!

Time:
5:50 PM server time
(6:50 PM CET)

What will be unavailable:

• All MapleLegends game servers and channels
• Merchants will be closed
• In-game name change requests using @changeign automatically processed

Changes and Updates:

• Start of the Christmas Events
• Halloween + Christmas balance, client, as well as server changes
• All other changes such as map, client, skills, and other changes will be mentioned during the maintenance

Explanation:
Phew. Hello. It's been a bit. We didn't have anything major for a bit, and once again we are sorry for that. This patch have massive changes towards the client and codebase, which needed a lot of trial and error as well as testing.

A lot more is explained during the maintenance and at the end of the year topic, which will be published on December 31. In here hopefully, you'll get a better understanding of what's likely going to happen with MapleLegends going forward, and what our new aim is towards the game itself.

While we had a lot of testing to do with this patch, we can't promise it will be completely smooth, simply because a lot of changes also involve more group-specific things, which can have a lot of edge cases or things that only occur when there's a lag for example, which is really hard to replicate naturally.

I am pretty sure you'll also like the QoL client changes. QoL is something I am very much a fan of, and anything to make the game feel smoother and more "modern" is a nice thing to me. Intentionally making the game feel tedious is not really my thing, even if "nostalgia" is the argument for it.
