Completed Scheduled Restart - September 13, 2017

All this chatter, and seems like the restart is still bound to happen with the changes. Clearly our opinions aren't important to a certain extent as of now.

But since it already happened, I shall give them the benefit of the doubt, and see what they have in stored...

The problem here isn't the fact that the nerf might not be slight and thus have a heavy impact. The issue is the lack of discussion and the fact that gobies didn't need a nerf in the first place.

When you check your inventory after 10 hours of farming at gobies with the new rates:

Rather than using a vague term such as 'slightly', could the staff provide an actual % decrease? If the generally accepted rate was ~10m/hr, and the nerf is intended to reduce it to ~Xm/hr, there's no reason a % couldn't be provided. IMO, slightly means players should see something like ~9.5m/hr.

Just to give a bit more insight on the change;
With the way the loot system is handled for the server, Gobies, which have a high amount of Equipment drops were dropping a really high amount of loot compared to other monsters, due to their large pool combined with the very high spawn rates with the houses. If you compare it to Temple of Time enemies (Or any other end-game mobs with smaller equipment pools), their overall chance of dropping gear, due to their huge pool, is much higher than almost any other farmed mob out there; similar to why GS2 was nerfed in '15. This is why the Equipment rates on Gobies were slightly toned down, while ToT enemies drop rate was increased. A lot of people are comparing gobies to leech, but we can't overlook that while leech exchanges mesos between players, Gobies is purely generating mesos.
I'd like to mention that the nerf is not as big as people seem to think it is; it will still be more profitable than leeching other people. I really don't think this will even get close to lowering your money per hour by 1 million. Obviously we'll be actively monitoring it; and if you have data to give us or something feels very off, do tell us and this can always be adjusted.

I do agree that this should've been properly announced/at least given a heads up so that people may have given their thoughts about it beforehand, so I'd like to apologize for that. In the future, we will work on conveying these changes to you guys in a better way which will allow for more criticism and preparation.

Mostly on board with the post, if actual numbers were added that would be a good addressing of this issue at least in the short term.

Yes, only the equipment drops were adjusted.

 

Just did a two hours test run at gobis. Mesos you can get for each hour is 10.8 mil (include equipment, potions and junks from mobs). But i do have SI mule, so if you don't have si-mule, i can guess the income still will be 7-8mil / h around.

About the item drop rate, i used to get 100+ black crystal ores every two hours before patch. But now i can only get 80+ black crystal ores. So the item drop rate has been decreased around 15%.

That would just be variance; the Ore drop rate was not decreased.
