Other Setup was unable to automatically close all applications.

    Hello everyone,


    I'm encountering an issue while trying to install MapleLegends using "MapleLegends10February2025.exe." A pop-up error message appears with the following text:


    Error:
    "Setup was unable to automatically close all applications. It is recommended that you close all applications using files that need to be updated by Setup before continuing.
    Click Retry to try again, Ignore to proceed anyway, or Abort to cancel installation."


    Despite no instances of MapleLegends running in the background, the error persists. Clicking "Ignore" causes the window to reappear.


    So far, I have tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:
    • Made an exception for the MapleLegends folder and .exe file
    • Ran the installer as an administrator
    • Re-downloaded the installer using a different mirror
    • Restarted my laptop

    I'm running Windows 11 in Parallels on a MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.5) with an Apple M1 Pro chip.


    I was able to play without issues last month, but the problem started with the Valentine’s/Lunar New Year update. I experienced the same issue during the Christmas event update, which prevented me from playing for the entire duration of that event.


    Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading, and happy Mapling!

    All of them
    I think that means maplelegends is running already so it can't be updated. Try looking for it in task manager and end it or restart your PC

    Thank you so much, kind mapler! I just logged in!

    I updated Windows 11 and Parallels, which required restarting both programs. After that, I saw your message and double-checked that there weren’t any programs with names related to MapleLegends in the task manager. Finally, I was able to install the latest update by running "MapleLegends10February2025.exe".

    Really appreciate the help! :) I hope your next gach is a chaos scroll.
