AFAIK the reporting comes from the same people stealing loot while changing channels, even after they’ve been asked to stop which is clearly against ToS. Seems like you’re trying to paint people negatively without telling the whole truth.

It's always been @mapowner is law. If they got there and got the maps first and are holding it properly, move on. Find a different map, all ccs taken? Move somewhere else or camp a channel to take map owner when someone afks.

Like, this has always been a thing on the server and the amount of salt coming from this thread is incredible.

You get flamed for not following mapowner rules, you get flamed for following it.

As chu and ovv said I ask loot thieves to leave. Reporting people simply for existing on my map would be a very quick way to get myself banned

I'm curious to know what the old Subterlabor would have to say about the multiattacking meta. And what you think about end-game people disagreeing with someone stating everything is perfect as it is, while they are completely capable of achieving what 80%+ of the player base is incapable of ever getting, nowadays?

I don’t see anything wrong with execution of the mapowner rule though. I could see value in discussion of healthiness of the mapowner rule itself.

okay, lets get back to original discussion. The reason why GM is not chaning current mapowner rule is
-There is no other better alternatives.
-This server is basically vote2win. Why should they nerf multi-client directly? There is not any incentive to give up votes.
-They already twisted mob spawn mechanism as they stated above. Should they work again who are not getting paid?
-What if you get mapowner during monster invasion while you are selling leech or something? Strictly allowing us getting only one mapowner per ISP can cause side effects.

 

It’s the same mentality we see across every other woe is me, buff me, nerf them thread.

In this particular scenario they can:

1. Wait for a map to open up.
2. Ask politely when the current map holder might be done.
3. Offer to buy the map off them.
4. Search for/move to a different map.
5. Try to snipe.
6. Make a forum thread complaining about how unfair things are and how things should be changed to favor themselves whilst antagonizing the others who have worked out a solution for themselves.
