    I remember a time when I was self-leeching my baby chars and outlevelled Wolf Spiders and migrated all my chars from NLC to Malaysia only to see all Vik chs are taken and a certain Ulu1Enjoyer was definitely one of them. What I did was move them all from Malaysia to Leafre and self-leeched at Dark Kentaurus for the Vik Levels. Leeching/training at the most meta streamlined spots arent the only ways to get exp. EXP might be slightly slower but certainly is moving more than raging on forum about banning someone using multiple channels of a map you wanted.

    Part of MMORPG experience will forever be the "unfairness" and comparison, we rarely see the efforts of other players have put in to reach the point where other players sees the fruits of it and felt "unfair".

    I do agree this is an 'issue' or 'situation', but the part where I disagree would be the motivations/reasons of OP bringing this 'issue' up, as well as the solution seems rather difficult(?) while ineffective (assuming multi-maging players are sweaty, it would only be fair to assume that jumping through the hoop of multiple IPs is just another thing to push through with some alternate solutions).

    The multi-whatever ships have sailed off for long time in this server, it's a unique feature (e.g rebirth on other servers have their own issue as well) of this server and provided additional ways for players to experiences (whether it's positive or negative encounters), it has it's pros and cons as everything does, but the focus should be balancing (which seems to be what the staffs had did and have been continuedoing so far) but not eliminating, I believe.

    This suggestion would be what I think extremely constructive, feasible and make sense, where it focuses on splitting the path (or maps) of single client leech seller vs multi mage farmers. 'Issue' with maps like viks and ulu2 would be their 'best of both worlds' where they give great exp and drops/mesos, along with amazing map layout.

    Drop table adjustments and reducing the crossover between the paths of leech selling (exp) and multi mages farming (drops/mesos) sounds like an amazing direction to me as a balancing act.

    With that said, I'm a rather new player (less than a year) that tried single client self farming, single client leech selling, duo mage farming (building into quad), and still learning a lot about server. So far I've been enjoying, and really appreciate this server offers multiple viable methods to keep progressing in the game. Hope that we can all find, and evolve through different 'playstyle' that fits along as our real life progresses, and it's okay we may not always (or immediately) have the bests (maps, eqs...), but along the journey we will definitely get some of the best experiences.

    Last but not least, I really appreciate OP for creating this thread, and the rest of users replies that gave such entertaining and intellectually engaging contents, much love <3

    It just makes no sense lmao. Why they permanently ban someone, then? You can change your IP and "identity" and keep playing. You have your ways to multiclienting if it ever becomes prohibited, but you will need to hide yourself as a player and we all know that's basically impossible to do at end game levels. We organize splits on banks, we usually need a lot of people for PB runs and ask their Discord. Dude you will really have a HARD TIME to hide yourself multiclienting for so long.

    Permanent ban basically removes/block access to all the assets in the character/account, or temporary ban will put a pause on progression/playtime for a period of time. One can of course continue to create new account and play, but one also has to continuously transfer assets indefinitely before getting ban, and without getting track, not impossible, but sounds extremely difficult to pull it off.

    Running multiple IPs, hardwares (p2w), VMs what not...seems rather 'friendly' to execute.

    Not saying that I'm against doing something about multi-clients, but just would like to point out the difficulty differences that I can think of, and if anything, would love to further explore on effective ways to work on the balancing.

    Congratulations! You've just explained why we are banning like 20 hackers every day; it's just the same 1 person constantly evading, with no way for us to know they are until they are doing the same hack again. Almost like, we are unable to tell who is who until they do the same rule-breaking thing again. Oh wait, that would mean what I have already explained about 20 times is correct, and people still trying to argue their point with silly comments look a bit like a fool.

    And hacking is still against the rules. Just say you don't want to make multifarming bannable, it's very acceptable.

    Account ban =/= permanent ban. According to the rules, you can't create another acount and continue to play if you got a permanent ban. What I mean is that if you got a permanent ban, you can still hide your identity and create another account for it, but staff still fight against those players.
    The staff has the right to do whatever they want with the server, I don't want to argue about that. I just think saying they don't do it because it's difficult to get the """cheaters""" isn't valid to me, since that applies to many other rules.

    You have gotta be baiting at this point, especially after Nightz already explained how your point is so flawed to begin with. I get it, you don't like the replies you get, and you, as a user, think it's realistic to combat MCing to the point you want it, and wow, this other server with 30 concurrent online managed to do it!!!! as a source of how some servers moderate it.

    We had multiclient blocking in 2015-2016, and the server had a concurrent online of 50 at peak at the end of November 2016. You know why people stopped playing? Outside of the lack of resources, lack of people to PQ with, among other issues, people were waiting and waiting for people to do specific tasks, which they don't have to do anymore mendatory with how the system is now. This is the positive that Nightz points out. THAT, and some people were blatantly bypassing said blocks. Hacking brings no positives, which again is something Nightz already pointed out, and neither does RWTing, unless you are a pay2win user that wants an unofficial competitive edge from everyone else instead of playing a higher rate server or something.

    The existence of multiclienting has its flaws, and I am not here to tell "hurr durr its flawless", but I am getting a bit tired of people saying stuff like "we only have multiclient because it boosts our usercount!!!11" even though I have the exact reasons why I removed the restrictions back in 2016, which I have been explaining a million times now.

    You are free to argue mutlticlient bad. But stuff like "wow if you allow multiclienting because you can't catch everyone, you should also allow hacking!!" is just silly, and makes you look like an idiot

    I think you probably heard a lot from other people and I don't know why you're answering like I said those things. I never mentioned anything about any other server and literally said the opposite about RWT/macro/hacking.

    I also understand there are positive aspects of multifarming, I mentioned it before. I just thought staff was against it from your previous posts and balance changes. In my opinion, it's very unlikely that you can be a 6 char multifarmer and hide your identity as a player from the whole community and staff, specially if you are on endgame that people know your Discord/voice and with trade logs, if that ever becomes something bannable, and nobody answered anything about that. But this is IF STAFF WANTS to do something about it. If you think there are more positive aspects or I am wrong, so be it. As you said, we were just arguing about it being good or bad before the big boss came up calling me an idiot.
    You're so upset for saying the same thing, I get you, and I'm sorry for that. But I wasn't the one who said that things you're going crazy about. Hope you don't get mad with me and this will just be another end of year argument between you and me.

    Ahh gotchu, thanks for clarifying that, apologies for my bad, I did not read thoroughly on the ToS as well to have a detailed understanding on the differences.

    I would assume that you're mainly comparing 'multi-client' versus something like account ban activities (e.g. RWT, hacking), and with that I think Kimmy, Nightz had also pointed out the key differences are the impacts of those said activities brought into the server, where there's definitely much more pros that 'multi-client' brings in, compare to something like RWT, hacking...And the intention of the staffs to maintain 'multi-client' till this day seems reasonable to me, but not with ill intention to make life difficult for players.

    Another side of the example would be, if we were to see that RWT is taken lightly, or even allow, staffs can and will definitely benefits from earning real world currency as well, such a huge pros for the staffs, but this is not allow, and staffs are proactively investing time and efforts battling them, which tells me that RWT is not the direction of the server they would like to steer towards, and the type of community they would like to maintain.

    Fair enough, but sorry I kind of have to nitpick on the term 'difficult' and 'valid'.

    I'm not sure if any staffs have mentioned somewhat 'we don't do it because it's difficult *period*', but from my understanding and experience reading through staffs responses (I can't read all of the historically responses of course, limited to my knowledge only), I took it as 'it takes a lot of efforts and time where it gets to a point that it doesn't seem worthy to proceed, in consideration of the impact that it brings (and the cons that it brought to other multi-clienters but not multi-maging farmers)' (specifically for this type of solution suggestion like locking singular IP to single mapownership). Yes it's seems and sounds difficult, but we're missing the part where the staffs had taken into consideration of effort vs impact (this is my assumption / understanding of course).

    It seems rather 'valid' to me, considering staffs are not full time running this server (they have to take into consideration how do the team wants to invest their time and efforts), and I think they do intent to keep multi-client as a feature around (and continue to balance it), instead of banning it out fully like RWT, hacking.

    With that said, I can definitely respect your opinion, but I hope that you may find some way to digest it, as it seems to me, to be quite difficult and burdening to carry this opinion around, while still enjoy playing in this server, where multi-client feature doesn't seems to be going anywhere (assuming minimizing, or even outright banning multi client is what you're expecting).

    No, what I meant is just that they seem to have the same work to ban RWT/Hacking/Macro. You can say it doesn't worth to fight against because it has positive aspects. I get that. But only saying it is easy to bypass doesn't look fair to me. I might be wrong because I have never been in a staff team looking into it before.

    English isn't my main language, I must have expressed myself poorly too.
