Windows 8/8.1/10 Unable to launch - api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll

    I just downloaded MapleLegends again and wanted to play again, but an error box comes up with the following in the text box, "api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll". I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the game but hasn't worked.

    Antivirus software has also been enabled and disabled to see if that effects it but no use, has anybody experienced the same issue and have found a resolution??
