Corsair SI

 

Corsair should get meso up and pickpocket too. But renamed as Booty Up and Plunder. They're literally the pirate ship riding pirates that sail the seven seas and pillage the loot of scurvy dogs, mushrooms, and slimes. Naturally they should be the most proficient at making enemies part with their dubloons.

 

This is the greatest suggestion I have ever seen.

 

my wishlist for corsair changes so far:

- more avoid out of ship
- stance/weak knockback for ship
- rapid fire slowly repairs ship, whether it's on CD or damaged
- rapid fire same range as cannon
- only 1 octopus summoned at a time but same damage as 3 octopi and same cooldown as 40s duration
- Gaviota keeps attacking but consumes 10 bullets for every bomb
- CORSAIR SI (can take hypnotize's place)

 

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but am I the only one who finds the stale/AFK check display on the boat really bad?

especially where there is more than one person in the same space.

 

Ok this might be unpopular, or maybe even stupid suggestion but

What if instead of giving corsair SI, you actually made corsair more playable for regular people by making it more accessible?
Currently hp challenge is not really an option the way i understand it.

Why not give Corsairs some sort of defensive buff, or passive that functions similar to meso guard. For example 30% of damage taken goes to mana, like a lesser Magic Guard?

Or is the idea behind corsair that they are absolute glass cannons if they have perfect conditions only.

Im personally tempted to make a sair but at same time the washing completely turns me off from pulling the trigger

And yes i expect someone to come and say how sairs are perfectly fine with hp challenge, but at same time i dont want to be investing a lot of time into a char thats gonna be locked out of some of content.

Also i agree with Akash, i think corsairs are too cool to be perma bound to wheelchairs (battleship) and they should have engaging playstyle outside of ship aswell, so it's also enjoyable to play them outside of boss content

yes, hp challenge is indeed not only an option to sairs but all ranged attackers, i have a 162 sair with 10,6k hp running ht and a 6,6k hp 139 NL on zaks all week, hpc gives a little more than enough to go on designated level bosses, it's never gonna compare to a washed character but as someone who despises hp washing this is a godsend

 

What content are you suggesting HPC Sair is excluded from? I have a 19x sair friend and he pretty much exclusively ran CWK/HT/and PB as far as I'm aware. pretty sure he could do anything he chooses as well.

 

Another corsair proposal
What if we reworked rapid fire into corsair's main playstyle rather it being a filler skill when battleship is down?

1. Give rapid fire 100% stance
- This will help corsairs reposition while doing steady damage

2. Corsairs will be able to move while holding down rapid fire
- This will help corsairs reposition while doing steady damage

3. Remove whacking animation for rapid fire
- Again, this will help corsairs reposition while doing steady damage
- At least remove the whacking animation when homing beacon is active!

4. Increase the damage of rapid fire
- This would significantly increase the consistency of our damage when battleship is down

Add these changes along with the ones listed below:
1. Decrease knockback on battleship
2. Avoid formula buff
3. Gavoita rework to a normal summon like Phoenix/Frostprey
4. Change Hypnotize to Speed Infusion

Perhaps adding increased Flamethrower burn duration to Elemental Boost to compliment Ice Splitter's?

 

i feel like dot damage in this game is so weird, usually its afterthought and not even worth playing around i think?

if flamethrower had very little direct damage and really heavy dot it would be more interesting
