Upper level limits in Party Quests.

    Is there even a upside to having this?
    Majority of Party Quest content doesnt even revolve around actual combat, usually its just an end boss fight, so argument of "my level 200 will just onetap the Alishar!" , kinda goes through the window, especially given the fact that even intended level characters can deal with those bosses in seconds sometimes.

    The xp gains from, lets say LPQ for level 100 would be miserable, and meso wise also waste of time. Cant wait to get that Napoleon Cape at level 160!!

    But theres some solid arguments why removing level limits would be a good thing:
    1) party questers can fill their party with higher level guildies who are bored and want to help (this is my case very often, would help magatia pq a lot too i imagine)
    2) another source of obtaining boss cards
    3) the items that are locked behind PQs, like earrings and goddess wristband, in my case i was outlevelling the ability to get EllinPQ rewards
    4) community building, high level players helping out newbies

    On top of that, you could even make up rewards for completing x amount of PQs that are below your intended level, like a medal that gives you hp with unlockable tiers. Another thing that helps the non washed players.

    Any abuse case you guys can see with removing of upper level limits for PQs?

    The idea is good on paper,
    I already used a lv 9x char to make ppq with 2 lv 55-67 char to avoid leech in GS, and it was already pretty broken
    take the lv cap off just will be harder to who really need get party

    Okay but was it faster than leech?

    Secondly, even if you did blast through those levels, i dont think its particulary game breaking, PPQ is notoriously fast xp, but that also peaks rather fast, compared to grinding/leeching CDs at 70+

    even normal grind with moderate int char can be faster than PQ at certain levels... you have to think about the following:pT of 6 people, one or two at most carrying 4 or 5, then it would be the PQ exp multiplied by the number without the pot expense, on the other hand, there is no gacha drop (in relation to self leech), and besides that you could use the char you carry to get the item from PQ, which would be an incentive for many

    Yeah but you can also do solo GPQ's, i dont see how this would be that lucrative compared to classic selling leech, and id say way more hassle

    i mean, self leech "without spending", for those who have/want to spend money, buying leech will always be the best option porky is definitely more briandead and faster than that.

    but the real point itself is that this would only steal the place of the players who really need it

    Yeah there could be edge scenario where you have lets say party of 6, but not enough players for 2 parties to form, so one low level would get booted

    With that being said, this has happened in gms aswell so, yeah

    Reposting thoughts I shared elsewhere:

    I think raising the MPQ max level by 5, maybe 10, would be fine. Otherwise disagree. Enjoying PQs for what they used to be, not just a thing that a max level can blitz through, is part of the nostalgia of OSMS. Staff have made other decisions somewhat to this effect, like not adding MCPQ as it ruins the nostalgia of LPQ.

    There are many downsides to the complete removal of maximum level limit, some already stated here, but I do think that a better solution is needed to make Party Quests viable.

    Due to the several faster ways to level up, many players go over the level limit pretty fast, which means it gets really troublesome to find players to join in, especially considering this is a private server with not that many players.

    I never forget the lengths I went through just to finish OPQ quests.

    I think the best solution would be something like:
    1. Limiting the skill usage up to 1st, 2nd or 3rd job (depending on which PQ)
    2. Capping the max damage monsters and bosses take, just like the Event Cake Boss.
