Whenever I vote on GTOP, the timer appears to "reset" itself automatically while not giving me the vote cash. Once I'm eligible to vote on GTOP, I do the little verification thing and click vote, but the timer already says "last voted 23 hours and xx minutes ago". However on the actual website the timer will say that I haven't voted in over 24 hours. So clearly GTOP is thinking that I voted and the website does not. Does anyone have a fix for this? I've missed over 30k vote cash because of it to be honest. Thanks

GTOP prevents any IP address from voting more than once every 24 hours. If there's someone else using the same IP address (e.g. someone else using the same wifi network at home), then only one of you gets to vote because the same IP address is shared by two people.

However, do note that the above is true only if you have a static IP address (i.e. your IP address never changes). As far as I know, most devices connect using a dynamic IP address that is assigned whenever the device connects to the network. And if I'm not wrong, for cell phones, the IP address changes depending on your geographical location as well.

I don't really have a solution for you other than to track the countdown timer and vote as soon as the timer hits zero. Alternatively, when you move to a different place, try voting to see if you're on a different IP address than your usual one.

    Hi there!
Can you try and vote from a different device (mobile phone) via data (not wifi) and tell me how it goes?

Hi so I turned off wifi and used data but the timer is still there. If it makes any difference, I'm still at home so maybe my location matters too? And yes my brother plays too so he probably votes and that could be the issue

That is the issue, and if the timer is still on, you brother is probably vote abusing with your cellphone.. Lmao

So would the best solution be to vote whenever I'm not home? Obviously I can't tell him to not vote since we both play so I don't mind just voting outside of the house. I don't know if that will fix it though. How does it work?

In order for both of you to vote legitimately and safely (to not vote abuse), I would first recommend waiting for both your timers to hit the 24 hour mark, then vote using these methods: (I will color code for easier reference.)
    1. You (or your brother) vote using your desktop computer (laptop) using the main network connection (wifi)
    2. Your brother (or you) votes using a mobile device using mobile data. (not wifi)

Note, it is possible to vote with the 2nd option with a mobile device + wifi, however, as I assume both of you are using the same network, only one of you will be able to vote if you use this method.

Thank you; however I did try using my mobile data to vote just now and it still did not work. What do you think is the cause behind data not work? I feel like the IP address issue plays a role as well in me not being able to vote

Can you ask your brother how he voted? (Did he use your mobile etc.)

*Edit: And yes, you may only vote ONCE per ACCOUNT per IP Address.

He's at work right now so I don't know when he'll respond. However I have seen him vote on his laptop (using wifi) before. It's reasonable to say that he also uses his phone, but I'm doubtful he would switch to data to do it when he's at home

I guess this just depends on his answer then! Hopefully he hasn't voted yet (or if he has, it wasn't through your home network).

Unfortunately, until you both find a permanent voting solution and method (like the ones I mentioned above),for now, you'll have to wait for your brother's timer to reset! Try the methods I gave you when both of your timers are at 24 hours~. :pinkbean:...

    Goodluck!

Hi friends, so I'm at work right now and I was able to successfully vote. I believe the IP address issue is what was giving me a hard time. I believe the correct timer is the website, not GTOP. If the website timer is past 24 hours then you should be able to vote regardless of the timer on GTOP. You would have to move to a different IP address to do it.

Yup, as long as the timer on your account says you've voted more than 24 hours ago, you should be able to vote legally (as long as you are on an 'unused' IP address). Voting at work helps (especially if you're able to do so at a consistent timing). I do have folks at home who play as well, so all of us vote from different places where possible to avoid using the same IP address.
