Washing weapons

I'd like to propose an idea I had, to make for each class a set of 'washing weapons'. They would be sort of like maple weapons, at certain level increments (i.e. 20, 40, 60, 80), would require base int to be above some value that would be achievable only if the character is washing and would grant a high amount of weapon attack. The weapon attack of the weapon should be enough to make the character playable, but still much weaker than a non-washing character.
This could allow the washing characters to be played, and not just sacks of leeching intelligent potatoes until the washing levels come.
