Why are they called “Toy Soldier Shoes”?

    There are three different level 35 mage shoes:


    All three look identical — besides, of course, their colours. And their stats are clearly designed the same way. So why aren’t the most powerful ones just called “Black Salt Shoes”?

    BBB Hidden Street agrees that they are called “Black Salt Shoes”. Searching the WWW for `maplestory "black salt shoes"` gets many results. But searching the WWW for `maplestory "toy soldier shoes"` reveals only one result, which is from the MapleLegends forums!: The Fashion Mage “XXV. The Curse of M”:

    So, apparently, this is a quirk of MapleLegends. But y tho?

    Let me try to synthesize some dank lore here. One day a brave toy soldier came down from Ludibrium to explore all the way to the bottom of the Eos Tower. Unfortunately he got raided by Propelly on the way down and died a tragic death. The shoes were named to honor his sacrifice.

    It might have been an accidental addition from many years ago, unfortunately we can't confirm the reason behind it.
    In any case, it will be reverted in the upcoming patch, as "Toy Soldier Shoes" makes close to no sense. Thanks for pointing it out!
