Why can defame be able to be turned off?

    Isnt the whole point of defame to defame people that are toxic/rude? Why can people disable it... that was a huge nostalgic part when someone was ksing you or being rude so you defame them. Now people just turn it off and say whatever they want

    If someone is over the top rude, report him.

    The purpose of the defame in GMS was to mass defame hackers so they could check it out. In every single Private Server the defame is nothing but a dislike button, and people gather mules and mass dislike the person, which completely removes the purpose, as well as it creating more drama than it helps 'downvote' the person.
