Tradeless - Game Challenge

About
Tradeless is a way to play the game that allows you to still party and enjoy all of Legend's content, but slows down your progression by not allowing any kind of trading.

This challenge is the result of myself coming back to Legends but wanting my character progression to be slower. Trading in an old server allows new players/characters to quickly gain access to gear/scrolls very early creating a sense of power creep. An example would be gear like attack gloves, attack capes, and zakum helmets being available super early.

Rules
1. No trading with other characters

2. Only pick up items from mobs or bosses you participate in killing
2.1 If you are party training with a group and they solo kill a mob that drops something you want/need, you cannot pick it up (this also applies to bonus stage boxes)

3. To participate in boss runs, party quests, or party play you need to be able to pull your own weight
3.1 This does not mean being able to solo the content. Just that you can make a meaningful impact and contribute to the party
Example 1: Showing up to KPQ at level 21 on a warrior and joining a party, missing everything and barely contributing = rule broken
Example 2: Participating in an EPQ run at level 45 and helping the party until the last stage, but you miss 90% of your hits on the boss = rule not broken

4. No leeching or getting carried through PQs (freak behaviour)

5. Mastery books are no exception, and can only be obtained once you kill the boss or mob that drops it

6. All PQ rewards can be used, with the exception of Lord Pirate's Hat 2, 3, and 4
6.1 The goal of the challenge is to slow progression, but this hat is a crazy power creep even at the first level. Might remove it completely but for now level 1 is okay

7. No using promo codes when creating the account to start with extra pots/items

8. No using buff mules (i.e. a HS mule while grinding)

I created the Tradeless guild in the case that anyone else was interested in trying the challenge. My ultimate goal would be to have a group of Tradeless players to progress through bosses with, but I'd settle for one other active player (if not it's okay ).

Spoiler: Isn't this just Ironman lite?

This absolutely is ironman lite. I've played ironman on royals on a few characters (13x paladin, 13x bowmaster, 11x dragon knight) and personally feel like ironman falls off after 4th job. It also locks you out of 40% of the games content and bosses become a game of surviving for hours of time. This was my solution to being able to play the best private server while enjoying all of the content and not having to be a meta slave.

 

Got through the absolute pain that was 1-31 without any funds or selling fame. The ice chests were huge in giving me mesos to get through the levels. Decided to play a hero because the scrolls and weapons are not terrible to farm for. I also heard they're the worst class in the game which makes it even better.


Additionally, I am adding myself an additional restriction. I cannot grind mobs in Taipei 101 or Sutra Depository for any reason other than card collecting. The areas are in my opinion way over tuned and create a meta that I'm not a huge fan of.
