Yeah I think other worlds with different settings really isn't a bad idea. Maybe a high rate because, well, why not? Don't like it, don't play it! And a ridiculous low rate like .1x would be... well, that would be super hardcore!!

I think the super low rate server would seriously need some changes though, like repricing some potions (especially NLC pots), and it would be really nice if clerics took a hard suck on the nerf bat for once.

Imagine heal costing 200 MP, and max level HS progression for exp being like this:
1 party member: +5%
2 party members: +10%
3 party members: +20%
4 party members: +30%
5 party members: +40%
6 party members: +50%

No, no hate at bishops intended. I am just saying that for a super hardcore server, however, the class definitely would need adjustments. It's just not fair if you can still get ahead by botting. -.-

 

A super low rate server would be fun, but it would need a lot of changes so that it'd balance around teamwork rather than bishop-work.

Something akin to Supreme World made in old maplestory would be super fun.

 

Remove hs and lower mage ult damage by 40%. Or you could do what someone else said and stagger the bonus of hs based on party size.

 

Yes, I agree with the sentiment completely. But now it occurs to me that even though this is the most stable maplestory server out there, it's still too buggy for relying on teamwork to work properly.

In particular, mob positioning still is erratic, they aren't always knocked back when they should be, and mob debuffs always vanish when they switch targets.

 

Have you never thought to report those bugs?

The staff are well aware of these bugs. The debuff bug was reported in June. It's still not fixed.

Maybe not 0.1x but something <1x would be cool. Probably won't happen, though.
