Macintosh Returning to Login screen spontaneously (Disconnection)

Hi.

I have been playing with the summer update patch for some time already, and I have recently encountered a problem (which is apparently something completely new according to Discord).

Essentially at times I am playing just fine and smoothly (by my standards, I can teleport within a second) and for some reason, while other players are just fine doing stuff around me, I will freeze in place in their point of view. From my perspective, however, I can execute skills, walk around, climb stuff and continue observing other players moving around doing stuff, but none of my skills do damage, neither can I take pots, talk in chat or pick up stuff.

As a result, I will get "rip dragon" (my ign, shortened) or something similar from other players and be able to watch them kill the mobs (that I was hitting for 5 seconds before), which is weird as it meant that I haven't actually disconnected yet.

Usually within 30 seconds of the first indication of the 'problem', I immediately return to the login screen, telling me that I could not connect to the server. This is without the application crashing whatsoever, and I can log in right away just fine.

If it helps, this usually happens when I'm doing Ludibrium Party Quest. I have no idea about other cases as this is all I have been doing for the time being.

There has been a couple of instances of it happening while I'm at the Maple Tree area, and once in the main Ludibrium town/ It's probably nothing to do with the PQ, though it's really why I'm looking for help (I'm getting xp but no completions .-.)

 

I am on Mac.
Strange, I never connected it to the tube, might consider it as a possibility.

As a level 46 spearman the loss of stats is painful but that should be okay (if it really is the tube)

I literally dc'ed on the last stage of LPQ after 30 minutes

 

Hello, if it helps, a few details.

I noticed that I often seem to disconnect in activity-heavy areas and less likely in isolated areas. I spent some time in the Drum Bunny mini-dungeon (both for quest and for kms to get rid of XP), for quite a long time and I can safely say that it was completely smooth in there.

My activity-heavy areas include Ludibrium PQ and Maple Tree area as mentioned, and while I don't remember much about the main town, I think that it was a bit after the 3-day downtime, so it was pretty crowded. I disconnected once in the Free Market as well.

On hindsight this would be pretty much the first thing you guys may have tested but just in case you know.

It's happening less for me now, though still pretty often.

Someone told me about about extra elements, which I suspected (but didn't know was called that). If you have a pet then you should disable it, that takes a big load off, apparently
