    Yes! It would be preferable, not only because of the increased damage per second but also the ability to throw snail shells to snipe far away enemies you don't want to walk too.

    I don't own any of the guilds there :)

    I just deleted my islander... in order to make room for an islander.

    I was bored of his name (NAVl, lowercase L) so I made one named Islander. Sucks that I lost all the NX i sunk into his inventory, but whatever.
