Yup that's why I don't play anymore.

I don't feel like voting for months for AP resets, leveling up a character I don't want to play just to obtain int gear (my priest), and spending my whole time on this server just prepping for HP washing. Maple's already grindy enough. We don't need an HP wash grind on top of it. It really sucks that a new player can't simply pick any class they want and progress with no issues. Nope you gotta have your whole game plan set out from level one. It's bullshit.

another question to ask is: do i really need to pump int as stats/ equip int gear before levelling up to hp wash?
Is the 1extra mp per 10 int really that much?
Is the minimum mp restriction you need to have really that high?
Because that 1 extra mp /10 int doesn't seem a lot to me

 

Imagine having 100 int when you level, that means you have 10 mp each level.

Now if you're a nightlord you need 12 extra mp for a single was (+16~20 hp). If you're a warrior you only need 4 (+more hp due to the increase hp skill, something like 50 hp). If you level 10 times with 100 int, you'll have gained 100 extra mp meaning a thief will be able to wash 8 times resulting in an additional 128~160 hp.

If you start from level 10 with 100 int (not possible, but for simplicity sake..) and keep it until you're level 130, it means you'll be able to wash 100 times resulting in 1600~2000 extra hp.

So to answer your questions, yes.

Luckily for you, as a Corsair you don't need to wash a whole lot. 40-45 washes before you reach level 155 should be enough to get 5.6k hp

 

Ideally you want to equip as much INT gear as possible each time you level to accumulate excess MP. You wont need a lot of INT gear if you start this from a low level. You won't even need base INT.

You don't need the extra HP until sometime after you reach 3rd job. This will allow you to train against monsters with higher damage.

Keep resetting excess MP points into HP until you reach 5.6k before level 155 or whenever you want to Horntail.

If you can't reach 5.6k by then, best thing to do is just add AP straight into HP. You can always get these points back by washing out more MP once you level.

well ap resets were gonna be reduced to like 1k, which would have reduced the time to vote for hp washing dramatically.

and finally 'well, what about the people who already washed!?'

but somehow these same people claim thats its not about having already washed, but that its really about the 'nostalgia/v0.62/hp wash'-life

 

Though with the newer content released, some people who have hp washed especially for HT can't really do the newer bosses, this propably will be worse when Neo Tokio ever comes. And since Hp wash ain't an actual game mechanic but a rather (sad) must for some classes to survive, we should try and find a balance between clean survivable hp and hp washing?

I used to want the HP washing cost left the same but now since we have harder hitting bosses, we need a boost for sure and yes I would say that if you're a DK, Shad, Bucc, you *should* HP wash since it helps with bossing, and it's easier for them. BM/XBM/NL *need* to at this point unless you're waiting till 180x to Horntail.
