Cost:


70m will get you a pendant, 160m will get you an egg for your pendant. Bundle deal is 180m. It will get you unlimited tries. If you aren't satisfied with your pendant you can buy a reloot (if available) for 25m. Another way of paying for your Horntail Pendant/Egg is with Onyx Apples. Onyx Apples will be valued at Market Price each. This means that for every Onyx Apple you give us, we deduct the current market price off.

1. Requirements?



You need to be at least level 80 (HT pendant level requirement is level 120 however), and have your pre-quest items ready.




2. How much HP is required to be able to survive the run?



The preferred amount of HP is 5.6k without HB. If you have 5.6k you won’t need HB after the Tails and Legs of Horntail are dead. Since Horntail likes spawning Black Wyverns, who dispel you, and has a lovely middle head who does the exact same thing, it’s best to have 5.6k. You can run with less (~4.8k HP) but it’s very risky. We have HP equips available, if needed, that add around 500HP on a first come first serve basis.



Mages should generally be good to go.





3. How many pots will I need to bring?



Generally ~1000 pots that heal more than HT’s max hit (almost 8k) should get you through the run.





4. How much time do you need to kill Horntail?



With apples introduced, the runs can take anywhere between 1.5 and 2 hours. This heavily relies on the amounts of weapon cancels and how long of a break we take between Pre-heads and the main Horntail body. (Most times the breaks are <10min, with rare exceptions).






5. When do I pay for the Pendant and/or Egg?



We will collect the payment BEFORE the run starts. If you are relooting, payments for the reloots will be collected after the run.




6. What if I d/c or die?



Upon receiving payment, you can keep joining our runs until you get the items you paid for. We typically have at least one res available per run.

Spoiler: Run Times

Horntail is still the biggest and baddest boss out there, meaning we need most of our attackers online. This also means that the runs don’t happen all too often, since not everyone always has time for these runs.

The times we mostly run are in the weekends, either Saturday or Sunday at around 1PM Server Time (@time).




*Our core attackers live in varying time zones, so times are subject to change. You will be notified of your exact run time.

Spoiler: How to Prevent dc's

Many people d/c at HT, but there's some easy and some little harder ways to prevent this from happening.


If you have a NVIDEA Graphics card, you’re going to have to disable it in your BIOS, or run on VMWare, and then follow the following steps.

If you have an intel Graphics card, you should be good to go, as long as you take the following steps.


Step 1: Make sure your picture quality is on 'normal' at all times.



Step 2: Change your Graphics after each body part dies, and after entering a new map. For example: We just started Horntail, everyone’s at the 1st pre-head map, but the head isn’t spawned yet. This is when you change your graphics. Do the same thing for the 2nd pre-head. When we start on the main body, there’s 8 body parts, so you’ll have to change your graphics 8 times. After legs, tail, wings, right arm, left arm, and each head dies. We will always call out “GFX” when they need to be changed.

Spoiler: Fastest way to change

ESC > DOWN > DOWN > ENTER > LEFT or RIGHT (Depending on better or worse graphics) > ENTER.

We encourage you to do this a couple times before the run happens so you know what to do and don't accidentally press down one too many times and log out. Yes, this happens.



Also be sure that you have either the windowed or full screen option ticked (whichever you prefer) so you don't change from windowed to full screen, or vice versa, during the run.

Our runs will be recorded. You are not allowed to loot ANY DROPS before we tell you to. Some of the books dropped by HT are worth a lot of money, so if you loot something you will be reported.
