3.5m? More like 35mil each will be a better suggestion, we need some serious meso sink here. It will be a shot to their own foot if they agree to reduce the NX cost for AP resets, since the server has been declared as HP washing optional. Your suggestion will most likely NOT be accepted.

 

I feel like that would make the game way too easy. I would rather have the prices in cs reduced instead.

 

The lower the NX cost, the less votes players will care about giving and thus overall exposure of the server will be lowered. It isn't in their best interest to lower the NX cost. Same goes for changing it to be purchasable with mesos. It's unfortunate, but it's how it is and likely won't ever change.

What if we made nx equips expire much sooner instead? That way we still have an incentive to vote (except for ugly folks) and washing a new char would be less akin to the time needed to quit smoking.

 

Being a HP washing optional server, it might be better to move away from tying number of votes to the AP resets costs, maybe other options like cosmetics, stores, tele rock or even owls should be looked into instead.

 

The prices for AP resets were and are already reduced, hover over the item and you can see so yourself.

AP/SP Resets were already made permanent.

If AP resets were available to purchase using an NPC as a meso sink, I'd like to see a risk factor involved. Something like a 5m/reset with a 30% chance of success. If time investment is the standard method of being able to wash your intmules, I think meso investment is also a fair equivalent with the caveat that it holds a level of uncertainty.

 

This server really does not need any more meso sinks. What we need are item sinks.

 

HP washing is still optional but it’s not optimal.

The balance between not upsetting the older players who invested their time heavily for HP washing and the new influx of players is something that has to be considered by the staff. Imagine heavily washed players finds out washing is made easier as compared to previously, this will trigger an outrage which I believe the staff wouldn’t want to see.

Touching on AP reset costs is a sensitive issue and this is why there is no action till date. However much said, I feel that the recent events had been giving out AP resets much more generously than before (The exchange rates are much worse 2 years ago, maybe 10 per event?)

 

I mean, everyone already does it.. and Kimmy gives us x2 vote AND its 5k(10k with x2) not like 100 from experience from other servers (I haven't tried Royals, and I don't plan to anytime soon.)

We already get more than enough for AP resets, Owl Mules, Item Mules(shop merchant), and many more.

 

This is obviously very very true. (Let me wear my helmet before continuing.)

But as a server we need new players, I don't know how many of the new players are being turned away by the "play mage and vote for 2 years thing". You just go around in game, at KPQ, it is basically intXX / non-mage being told they should add INT / new player being told to play a mage. Furthermore, new players are fewer and spending less time because life is returning to normal-ish.

As for old players. Will they really stop playing if the reset price dropped (or washing made easier) after their character completed washes?
I have not been here for long compare to many of you guys, but this feels like a "back in my days" meme type of situation.

 

If you choose to HP wash, you should accept the time investment required.

Smh when it’s so much easier now (2x event, generous exchange at recent events) and people are still complaining.

 

I actually don't quite have a dog in this fight (I only ever had interest in my one character, a warrior which needs no washing) but for what it's worth, I have followed this argument since 2017, and 20+ page threads with intense flamewars have been present since then. Since 2017 the size of the playerbase has also spiked and dipped in multiple cycles...and yet the server has its loyal fans and still gets new devoted players. Now I don't know what the GM team's goals are for ML, but if I were inside I wouldn't feel concerned about these new players, because the server is clearly able to sustain even with the alleged hordes of them dropping out.
