Increase Assassinate's Horizontal Range

    The lack of horizontal range on assassinate makes a shadower's life needlessly frustrating in HT, if being sed wasn't annoying enough by itself.

    Left Arm:
    Shads can only assassinate the left arm if they are standing at the very right edge of the platform, which leads to a lot of falling off the platform while trying to find the sweet spot.

    Right Arm:
    The right arm cannot be assassinated at all unless it extends out for an attack, meaning when the right arm is in mass sed range and needs to be focused down, a shad is just sand bagging as the bulk of their damage to the arm will be from just spamming bstep, which does less than half the damage of assassinate.

    Left Head:
    Similar to the left arm, the left head can only be assassinated if the shad is about as far right on the platform as they can be. This is more egregious than the scenario with the left arm because a shad has to be so far right that they are standing on air. The constant bombardment of attacks means a shad has to repeatedly find these exact few pixels over and over again and spend a significant amount of time slowly tapping the right arrow key and checking if they can reach yet with assassinate. Walking off the platform every minute while trying to find the right spot and having to redo the jump quest is the bane of a shad's existence.

    Increasing the horizontal range of assassinate would vastly improve the qualify of life of shads in HT, while having little to no effect elsewhere.

    Imagine shad life in HT there was no hill/jump bstep, no extra 1 more line on assa, and no many buffs done before.

    I feel weird for shads in neckson MS holding 'DAGGER' and overwhelming whole screen.

    Staying in that tiny (tiny) window at the very edge of the top left platform in HT to hit the left head with nate is so bad man. Aside from bowmasters using the buffer strat on the tiny top right platform, no other class has to be that stringent on their positioning.

    I don't think nate's range should extend far enough to hit the right arm (unextended), that's pretty far. But a little bit of a horizontal boost for the left head and arm would be a reasonable and very nice QoL change

    I remember shadowers without any ML changes are completely unplayable at HT. Now you get many QoL changes as a Shad and you still want even more things to just be efficient at this one boss. ROFL.

    I don't think its really needed, shad main strength is to cripple mid head and thats the only thing shads excel at.

    aaronisaaronis you haven't played your shad in 6 years so you must forget how short the nate range really is f3 it's doable to hit left arm/head right now, but the scrutiny of positioning is pretty ridiculous (your nametag has to be like over half off the platform for nate to connect iirc). what is being asked for here is nothing unreasonable in the slightest, and you and shadowrealm painting it that way is wack imo. I'm generally a big advocate for not making things easier, but the lack of horizontal range on nate is actually that bad.

    also why do we call it nate instead of assass

    lets just make nate a ranged attack so shads can "finally" be viable in HT that they can hit all ht parts and white everything. #shadsneedevenmorebuffsin2021

    you're trying to paint this narrative like we're asking for something unreasonable by stating outlandish things that nobody's talking about. you did the same thing in the meso guard post, though i personally agree meso guard's duration should not be buffed. a slight increase to nate's horizontal range is not some gamebreaking change, we're talking about like a 5-10% horizontal increase at most - which considering how short the range is currently, is extremely small. if staff doesn't want to make the change suggested here that's peachy, but it's annoying that you just want to make it a joke instead of actually adding any value to the discussion

    5-10% more range on this would be great, not only for Horntail but also bosses where you basically have to tank body hits while it's pinned to even be able to hit them like Papulatus and Nameless. Maybe be able to actually hit the top zak arms?

    I'm usually not in favor of buffs especially not for a job that I play myself but this would be a nice QoL.

    it should be nice to shadower, another thing that will get the class up is get down the secs of dark side to deal more damage with nate
