    I get the following error:

Failed in finding proper screen mode for gr2d

    The options I have tried:

    -Using any compatability mode
    -Lauching it multiple times
-Lauching setup.exe (Got the error that I need to upgrade to 8.1+ directx, while I have 12, the latest one)

    My specs are:
    Windows 10
    Intel(R) HD graphics 5500

I just bought this laptop, so no previous succesfull launches of Maplelegends.
If any other information is required I can provide it.

I believe other solutions for people have been:
    - Reinstalling the game
    - Minimizing all your windows and then starting the client couple times
    - Updating your graphics driver
    - Changing monitor resolution

    Tried all of these options.

    Re-installed the game twice
Tried starting up the client around 20-30 times while everything is minimalized
My graphics driver has no available updates (Would be strange, its a new laptop)
Changing monitor resolutions also got no result

Do you run the game as Windows 98/me compatibility? When I am on Windows 8/10 it only runs successful that way.

I tried to run the game with all possible compatibilities. Nothing seems to work.

Out of curiosity do you have an external monitor connected to your laptop?

So it's been a while since I've made this thread and I guess I had given up to find the solution for my new laptop (and just played on my old one) for a while until recently. I found something that fixed the problem for me and thought it would be nice to share it on the forum anyways for people that might need a solution in the future.

I found that my laptop had 128 MB Dedicated Video RAM while MapleStory requires 256 Dedicated Video RAM. I found this video about how to increase Dedicated Video RAM on your pc or laptop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BfYgB0Arok
Increasing my Dedicated Video RAM seemed to do the job for me. Also note that 'IncreaseFixedSegment' part is capital sensitive.
