TL;DR version: We no longer accept rewarps in any condition. If you want to know the reason and how things work on the technical side, read below.

    Hello Maplers,

MapleLegends has evolved a lot the past months. At the begin of MapleLegends we were still on a very young VPS, which had lag issues here and there, or crashes.

At the begin of MapleLegends we had a policy that if the server has a hiccup or spike that people that disconnected from a boss-run could get a rewarp.

Later on we upgraded our VPS to a dedicated server, which pretty much terminated all the lag. After that, we introduced the policy that we no longer rewarp people back into boss runs when they lag out (or have a client problem).

However, at that time we still allowed people to get rewarped if they got banned by our auto ban system (falsely of course). The most common case back then was Bow Masters getting banned for faraway mob, or other cases.

Later on we not only improved our auto ban system by a lot, but we also changed a lot how instanced events work (especially boss battles, since Zakum and Horntail are pretty much (almost) GMS-like now, while back then they were barely instanced at all)

Example, when someone is in a PQ and DC, there's no way to rewarp back that person because the person is no longer in the instance. What this means is that if the party has passed a quest, all of them warp properly, except for the person that got rewarped, because he's no longer in the instance, thus the PQ script no longer see him/her. This is similar as why I can't rewarp people that disconnected at Ola-Ola or Fitness JQ, because its instanced.

A similar thing is for boss-battles, but not as major. Example, the boss still hits the person, etc. However, lets say the boss timer runs out, everyone except the person that got rewarped will be teleported out.

Its not common anymore that anyone is getting auto banned in boss battles, except 2 days ago which was actually quiet a long time ago someone ever got banned (falsely) in a boss battle. With the reason of that being fixed, we also want to announce that we no longer accept rewarps, at all.

The reason of this, like mentioned earlier, is because it can cause issues with the instanced party, since there's someone inside that "does not belong there anymore", so things can go differently than it is suppose to be.

With our auto ban system being much more polished than it was in the past, we hope with this change that it doesn't happen that someone get auto banned during a boss battle. If it happened anyway, we will try to resolve the reason of the ban as soon as possible, assuming the ban was false.

With this change announced we hope to have informed you fast enough, so no miscommunication happens.

    Sincerely,

    -MapleLegends Staff-
