A @dpm command that can be stopped at will

Bumping this because it's a magnificent suggestion and it deserves more attention!

 

I made a GIF to further illustrate this suggestion! The DPM bubble could remain constant on the player's char, maybe have it update every minute instead of seconds (not sure if there's any backend limitations).

Could also have a great use in crowded bossing expeditions too

It would be nice if we could do something simpler like !dpmstop

This way you can still do !dpm (time) for tests where relevant !dpm 1 etc, while having the better flexibility of doing longer more accurate tests, by having the ability to stop dpm tests that run too long

 

This is a fantastic idea and I like the simplicity of it.

I would like to be able to use several dpms within one, for example, use a dpm 30 and a smaller one to know how my repositioning/strategy is going

If this would mean that starting a 'new' @dpm forces the 'old' @dpm to actually spit out the numbers, yes.

As in, let's say I start my first @dpm 5 at t=0 minutes, and then after 2 minutes start another @dpm whatever, I'd still want the 'first' @dpm 5 to give me the results over the two minutes of testing it got to do.

 

If we could stack multiple DPM tests that'd be most ideal.

 

You oftentimes want to test dpm of different sections of fights but also see the overall result. Sure you could post 30 dpm 1 tests but it’s not really conducive to a clean testing environment.

 

or besides @dpm that "green list" when the boss dies would also help
