I guess solo bossing is not/hardly feasible anymore with the latest patch, so it's time to start joining others for bossing. But I have a few questions:

    1. How are boss drops determined? If the leader decides, wouldn't they prioritize their friends in the party?

    2. How can we ensure there's no drop scam? For example, if an NT boss drops a 9/57 claw, and the leader has an imperfect-stats claw in their inventory, what if the leader tells the teammates that the drop is the imperfect-stats claw?

    3. What are the criteria for joining PB/AUF, and how do we determine who gets the pendant/circlet? How is the share split, for example, if PB drops MW30/FS?
I have rarely joined people for bossing before, so I appreciate any information and clarification!

    1. In bosses like Krexel/Zakum where you might not have too many high value drops or in the case of uneven coin splits, they are generally settled by each player rolling. Highest roll gets drops. Otherwise, they can also go to players that have higher contribution like bringing mules or boss summoning costs (Zakum eye of fire, etc)

    2. Trust people, vast majority of people aren't scammers. I suppose hosts could just screw people over, generally that is the exception

    3. You just need to get connected with a group and generally not have a bad reputation to join higher level bossing. High end drops from HT and PB have more formal splitting policies with real run contributions and spreadsheets (like extra % for host, mules, other things) and are split in much more detail. Run policies are made by the host and PB usually has banks run by the host with even more detailed policies.

Special item drops like Auf Circlet and TL pendant usually has special rules determined by the host. For example, some Auf hosts give significant % bonus splits to non looters. TL pendant is usually by a group roll done in Discord, but each host can have different rules on how you can get the pendant (being able to sell it, or only people who need it can roll, etc). Same can apply to other items like PB chair/card

    4. You can still solo boss if you want. There is no rule against it if you can manage it. People are quick to overreact to changes before even trying them

    1. Players expect common-sense distribution on splits when they host/join public runs. 'he's my friend so he'll get more reward than you' is actually very griefing unless it's agreed among whole groups before it happens, imo.
For casual bosses like zak / krex / scarga, there are some general-accepted split policies.

    Zak :
EoF dropper gets all equips/diamonds, to cover EoF prices. For pouch coins, try to split in even, but when it can't be, @.roll and winner takes 1 more coins.
ex. 15 coins from 4man run - 4/4/4/3. top 3 rollers get 4c while lowerst roller gets 3c.
Sometimes, we give autowin for high roll, on who brought mules ( = who put more effort to make run), to appreciate for their hardworking.
ex. 15 coins from 4man run but 1 player muled HS and 1 player muled SE - 4/4/4/3. 2 mulers get 4 in fixed, other 2 roll and split it as 4/3.
If host is okay with going more diligent for fairness, he'll try to split it like 4/4/3.5/3.5 by trading mesos but sadly this happens very rarely. if this happens, I'd say you can trust that host.

    Krex :
Actually I never do krex so no idea in details for should be similar with zak.

    JC :
Almost similar with zak. Try to split income in even, but a bit rough. likewise, let's assume 3c + 2 gears -> 2c / 1c+gears.
Some hosts tend to give autowin on muler aswell considering HS muling happens a lot in JC.

    2. This is way more like 'human issue' for trust. I'd say, if you don't trust your host, you shouldn't just join his run. When I was hosting my HT run I had messy episode like that aswell on myself. A runner instant FJ yoinked purple sleeve ahead of me telling 'I was checking watk and it's poop' threw me 47wa one. I just expelled him right away. There's no point to get any runners who can't trust me. in other words, There's no point to attend any run hosted by someone you can't trust. In most of end-game contents, hosts are usually years-played player with their own reputation. You'll see who is worth to play together, and who isn't.
If you want to go really serious, you can just make @gm ticket or even forum request, to check if host is scamming you or not, it's your option. but No any host would love to get runners being overact like that, not trusting them.

    3. Too long to explain. but what I can say is - players aren't dumbs. There're reasons why long-lasting squads are.

If you really can't trust anyone worried for scamming in such cringe ways (which doesn't happen that frequently anyway), Only way is hosting contents by yourself (but will others trust you too? it's your quest to get trustable reputation from them) or just solo everythings.

I added a policy to my runs, if a runner loots a equip - it is expected to be max stat. Either it is and he goanna drop it asap or he has to pay for maxstat and keeps w/e he looted. The only way out is a discord stream to show what you actually looted. I don't recruit people through Smega/ML Discord to come in my runs and tolerating them to act "Silly" and potentially ripping off people esp when they have the aduacity to loot stuff.
Also alone by the odds - if some1 loots out of a mistake a item, why does it has to be the DPS and not the Tomahawk next to it?
I'd also recommend add a griefing policy, would have it yesterday the first time applied cuz a Attacker locked on Preheads another attacker & looter out.

I want a great experience for everyone and trust has to be earned - esp when other people rely on you to make it fair.

like most ppl said before, it's mostly based on trust
bossing that require more organisation will have a policy which will determine how certain different situations are handled. Splits are done via a spreadsheet that is used a receipts. when apple are needed you can socialise them and have the players that benefit the most from using them be fed and reimburse the apples if the drops allows it.
When a situation that isn't stated in the policy comes up, i try dealing with it in a way i judge fair or discuss with the runners on how it should be dealt with.

heres a fictionnal reciepts for the Aufheben runs i host.
