    Hello all,

Just downloaded MapleLegends again, I played back in the day but I'm having trouble starting the new client.

I went through the download client windows and setup, did the .exe file installs and even tried the Mirror1 gateway to no avail. I cinfigured the .config setup before launch and it's all typed correctly.

Once I hit the client launcher it just opens a blank window for 2-3 seconds and then automatically closes the window. Anyone have a troubleshoot for this??

Welcome back to the server! Hopefully we can get you back to playing soon.

It's a bit difficult to pinpoint an exact solution for crashes that occur without a proper error code. I would suggest trying the following to try and rule out some possibilities as a start:
    • Either disable your antivirus or add an exception for ML and all of the related files required to run the game (you could do all of them at once by adding the "MapleLegendsHD" folder)
    • Add a firewall exception for ML (both inbound and outbound)
After these two, I would also do a complete restart (not shutdown) and reinstall in case your AV already deleted any of the related files. Make sure you are downloading the latest version and one that is compatible with your device.

    Alternatives:
    • Close all of your other programs and try launching again. I would also recommend checking Task Manager to double check that there are no programs taking up all of the memory or GPU usage on your PC.
    • Make sure the problem isn't with your network connectivity. Maybe try out launching the client with a VPN.
    • Try launching as administrator, and if you have been, without.
    • Try launching the compressed version, and if you have been, the regular client.
    • Try launching in different compatibility modes.
    • Try setting HDClient in your Legends.ini file to 1 instead of 2, or 2 instead of 1.
    • Try setting FastLoading to false, also located in the Legends.ini file.

Been having this exact same problem. As soon as I launch, it opens a blank window, I see the Maplestory login screen for maybe 5 frames and then it instantly crashes everytime. Did you end up finding a fix?

visit my post for the latest updates on the situation , there’s many more like us suffering the same issue. So far what works is me spamming the client until it actually opens to login screen and spamming login until I get into the game and repeat 1 and 2 if I get D/c or crashes until I’m actually able to play . Careful cc to 1 or 2 and CS , this might cause you to D/c as well
