Notice Changes to Terms & Conditions

Please note the Terms of Service have been changed. You can view the changes below:

New Clause

The new clause is derived from the old "1.2 Unofficial Commerce" rule. The goal is to further clarify that you are forbidden from attempting to hype users to join other servers when playing on our services. This is especially for users who already quit our server and only log-in to try to drive our loyal users to another server.

Also, if you are streaming our server and use the [MapleLegends] tag, we believe the same rules should automatically apply, as you are being featured on our website and Discord, as are thus a face of MapleLegends. If you do wish to hype other servers, please remove your tag before doing so.

Lastly, any SMEGA that has the intentions of hyping or promoting an upcoming or existing server, even if the server name is not mentioned or partly censored is not allowed and will be an instant violation of the rule. Please do not try to joke through this rule, because it's not funny nor worth it.

This includes inside jokes!

In short, we prefer if you do not use our services to talk about upcoming servers, period.

Here are a few changes. From now on, any art transactions need to be posted on the forums, which will help us moderate efforts to bypass the Real World Trading rule through the excuse of 'art transactions'.

This got added with the rule above. We reserve the rights to erase items that were obtained by a Real World Trade or are in general obtained through a violation of ToS, even though they were traded off to others that were not directly responsible for Real World Trading.

Association with Abusers clause is receiving a major rework in order to clarify what constitutes an association. Previously, an "association" was left up to the staff team to discuss with no clear reference. It now clearly guides users on how to avoid being associated with an abuser and helps staffs to enforce the rule fairly with less subjectivity.
