Hi, I just want to ask about something I keep encountering. And it's been, like, hours since I joined...

First, I was on Maple Island and then I saw another player. I figured being new myself, it'd be nice to make new friends and ask whats up, and maybe stay in touch, help one another etc. So I started talking to him - but, no response. I kept following him around, but nothing. He doesn't talk to me back. At the end, he finally talked and said "fuck off" and then he took the boat to Victoria and left.

Later on, I'm doing a few of the noob quests around Ellinia and when I did my 1st job, a random player had whispered me crticizing me for picking Mage. It was something like "why did you choose this? dumbass"... or something. I was in shock, that was pretty rude as well.

So, these two examples aren't the only times players around the game appeared to be just rude, or anti-social. There were more situations, which I won't mention.

Having just joined, less than 24 hours ago, it feels weird and disappointing to see at such an early stage in the game. I joined hoping to make new friends and meet polite, kind people, but all I meet is assholes... so my question is, is the community really full of these kind of people This is so ugly...

 

Heya Chew and Kimberly, that is really not true - the situations I described I have really encountered and have no idea how/why you were not able to "locate" them with your logs, but they occurred.

I'm sorry if it appeared as if I'm making the thread for the purpose of "spreading shit" - that is not the purpose. I was just in shock that, during such an early stage in the game, I have encountered what I have encountered. It would make sense in like one or two months of playing, but not on the first day.

However, you're probably right - it's probably just bad luck. I was kinda offended, but I feel better now. I tend to get easily offended by these kind of things, for some reason. I know you might say "you need to grow up" but I don't think it's that.
