    Hi, been trying to get in touch with GMs in and out of game but a bit slow so thought I might post here.

    Is the phone verification necessary? It didn't have this before and I haven't come across this with other discord channels.

    I haven’t seen any phone verification. If it’s not from discord itself (over while ML has 0 control), don’t do it.

    if it’s for your discord account, better look it up for discord itself. Maplelegends is only a user of discord, they don’t own it

    I believe Legends tends to turn it on and off at times depending on how bad solicitors/scammers are at a given moment.

    Maplelegends has full control as far as I'm aware to set this kind of moderation up on their Discord server. It's one of the server settings that falls under moderation to choose from.

    I can't confirm if Maplelegends have decided to activate this but if people are seeing this while trying to type in the Discord then it's probably the case and most likely done to keep some of the bots/spammers out.
